GM high-power FWD cars--Why?
Re: GM high-power FWD cars--Why?
redzed, why do you have to be so juviline in your arguments? To me it shows that you are standing on shaky ground that could crumble with one more devastating blow.
You, my friend are a strange breed of troll. Most trolls don't start a flame war to have their a@@es handed to them.
Also, I don't think that JasonE is going to sell a car to anybody on this forum, so I don't see how his bias of being a salesman plays that big of a role. Your severe anti-GM bias/unfound hatred is clearly evident in every single one of your posts. Its impossible to take you seriously because of that. And the fact that your arguments are juvinile.

One thing I can tell you is that neither japanese nor american "stainless" exhausts compare to german. Parents used to have 1984 Audi 5000 - original exhaust (and original rust-free body) until about 2000. In 2004 the car was scrapped away. They replaced it with 1993 Audi 100 - still original exhaust, although starting to develop a few minor leaks. I understand that Audi does not come cheap when new (or when old, for that matter), I am still rather favourably impressed and have partiality toward those cars.

Also, my 91 Regal with 220K miles on it still has the orginal exhaust. And it is still dead quiet. Stainless steel is much better.
My dad had an 88 toyota pickup that had a new muffler put on at 80K. The tailpipe after the muffler rusted through at 130K, causing him to fail emissions(they couldn't get any gas coming out of the tailpipe for a reading
) Then the I-pipe rotted out at 160K. Other than the exhaust, worn out shocks, brakes, and an A/C coolant leak, he didn't have ONE problem with that truck from when he got it at 70K to when he sold it with 200K. Never was stranded once.
