No bull**** quad coupe, no equally egregious "coupe like" styling (Thank You Trevor Creed for that quality statement ) I am not going to rip and snort, since these are magazine articles about car that may or may not even exist as a styling exercise at this point. However, I want to make sure that anyone who reads this site to guage public reaction to these little internet tidbits understands MY position loud and clear, YMMV (but I hope not too much because I really don't want them foisting off some 4 door "coupe" on us like DCX did with the Charger (( I still think someone should send a 1969 318 Charger through their front lobby in protest ))

FWIW, I would consider a quad coupe Camaro, as long as it was not obvious when you look at it. My biggest complant about my 4th gen is how long the doors are. Quad coupe would really make it much more parking lot friendly.

I think by making it an available, low cost option on both the GTO/ Camaro would help put more people behind the wheel of these cars. It makes it easier to justify when you have a family.

No, leave the 4 door big v-8 cars to Dodge.
If they want to maximize the potential of this body style, then they use a flexible chasis manufacturing process that allows them to build coupe's and 4 doors (G8/Bonneville/Tempest) on the same line, with as much usage of basic parts as is possible. Seems to have worked fine for the Commodore/Monaro.

As long as it was integrated very (and i should stress VERY cleanly), like an RX8, i don't think rear suicide doors would turn me off from buying a newer GTO or camaro.
As already said, giving car guys the option of not trading in their fun car just because they had a kid/family is probably a good thing. 4 doors like a charger would be an abomination though.

That's quite disgusting. 
And Motor Trend's rendition looks just as bad to me. The nose looks like they just threw on something because they couldn't think of anything better.

The way that GTO looks is plain TERRIBLE!
If they produce it like that, or the camaro for that matter. "Four doors/quad coupe, auto only (ex: Charger)"
I WILL NEVER EVER even consider buying one.

So, would you say that the new GTO follows a different formula yet? Is the '04/'05 GTO the one which defines the marque?
