For every ONE prospective buyer they lose because of "Quad Doors", I imagine they would gain TEN more because of having them. If they implement it right noone will hardly notice.
Hell, look at the Charger. If I was buying a so called "Muscle Car - which really has no meaning" it would come down between the GTO and Charger. (I agree with the Xeroxed Mustang statement - don't like it). I would probably choose the GTO, but I would put STRONG consideration into the Charger BECAUSE of the Quad Doors.

Deep thought went into that highly intelligent statement, ROFL.
But following your logic you just made a business case:
I for one would rather have "pussified" cars. If you have a car full of chicks most of them HATE climbing in the back seat of a Sports car, but love the car itself. So if you "pussified" it and make it easier for the girls, you might just get laid alittle more often...
But I'm married so I could care less anymore, lol. (

IMO, if you hav quad doors, then you really need to give the backspace more room, to justify having them.. You do that, your going to mess around with the coupe lines..
As annoying as they are, I'm still all for long doors.. They look good.. But follows my line of though that the Camaro shouldn't be a volume seller, but a relatively low 30k unit seller(since its more aggressively styled and layed out). Unfortauntly, it seems like GM doesn't have enough money or willingless to do make car like that... Its a shame, cause a car like that would definantly prove that GM isn't just following trends, but will unapoligetically make cool cars.

yeah, they seemd to move away from the niche car thing a few months ago.

Admittedly, the Camaro/Firebird, Mustang/Cougar, Challenger/Cuda and Javelin followed that same formula. they were just a smaller

So unless your trying to avoid the wife giving you a black eye, I like my idea better.

Likewise, I completely understand the need for a sedan that offers some performance. Just don't try and make the GTO or the Camaro that car. I have yet to see a quad coupe that hides the rear suicide doors. All versions that I have seen, have larger passenger compartments.

Oh, my point was that fleet sales would be the v6, not the v8 . So that means the average joe is the one buying the hemi's.

What's the idea with these new lighter ones? Two tons gives you "presence", less gives you no respect. Plus my buddy told me more weight gives you more taction and better handling. Where's the velour interior and spoked hubcaps? WHERE!!!! If GM were smart, they'd come out with a 2 ton, 2 door Monte Carlo, with velour seats and spoked hubcaps....and if it came with an LS7 and auto (haven't learned to drive stick yet)....and sold it for $18,000......I'd buy one.....ummm...used. That is after I graduate HS and get a job. Either that or I'll get my sister's Tercel.
If anyone from GM is reading this:
1) I think you guys are morons.
2) I'd like a job as a product planner.

Don't hold your breathe for any new variants of the Monte Carlo, Darth.
On the other hand, there are people within GM, that want to see a next gen GTO, and are struggling to create a business case. Let's give them some lattitude.

I think if someone was suggesting a quad coupe Camaro you would not be very happy. As I said before, you seem to have a very strict interpretation of Camaro history...yet when it comes to Pontiac you are very liberal.
A quad coupe GTO would get beat to hell in the press. Since it is obvious that Buick is getting the large RWD sedan and the G8 is axed, why not make a coupe version and call it GTO, then make a quad coupe and call it the Grand Prix. Seems like an inexpensive soultion to me. The Quad coupe won't steal sales from the Buick in the same showroom, and people who want a traditional GTO get what they want.
