Step inside to see the difference HID's can do...

They just went in the same spot as the stock housings. The ballasts were the only thing different, and I did already post pics of that. The only thing the HID's don't provide is aimed light. Thats what projectors would be nice for.

So are those the 165mm sealed beams? I was thinking about just getting the bulbs and fitting them into the stock housings, but I'd like some clear housings verses the glass lenses with all of the lines in them.

Lots of guys have done what you thought about (just putting an HID bulb in the stock housing). The only issue with that (and why I didn't do it) is that you have to break the old bulb out, and apoxy or RTV seal the new HID bulb in. I wanted something that I didn't have to break and goup to re-seal. In the end, both will look the same.
As far as I know, they don't make a "clear" housing with no lines in them. I am still looking for a company who does, but haven't found any. If you know of any who do, or anyone else knows of a company that offers stock sized housings, please let me know as I am trying to work with a buddy of mine to put a small projector inside the stock housing and then mass produce them. The problem is that all of them we have found have the lines in them, which will take away from the projector idea
