A Few Paint Ideas w/ SS Spoiler

I've had this ls1 SS spoiler for a while now, bough for $80, had to do a lot of body work to it. I really wanted an LT1 SS spoiler but couldn't afford it (SLP wanted more in shipping than the price of the spoiler) It sits on the car now in primer as I ran out of money and realized that I want to paint my whole car and it would be stupid to buy just enough for the spoiler, but I can't afford to buy a gallon for the whole car. So I thought I'd try something different in the mean time and get some cheap black, because at least it would look better than a primered spoiler. Now I'm getting cold feet, afraid I won't like it.

Here's some of the ideas I was kicking around:

Yes, they would be glossy, not flat. I am not a photoshop master.

Note how I extend the black up onto the hatch.

Either way I thought it would look good as a whole picture with this hood with some black going on up front, probably on the edges of the cowl (minus ground effects):

EDIT: here's one I just did up with the two-tone spoiler and black berger:

What do you think?

It'll just look like you took the parts from a car of a different color and couldn't afford to have them painted to match. (Which would be partially true. )

I disagree, The spoiler will flow with the black top....have you never seen a berger panel before?

Here's another with a little more added:

It doesn't look too bad. There is an LS1 on LS1Tech that did a reverse manta on his SS hood (he painted the hood black, and the scoop the color of the car). I think this would look great on this - if I remember right, someone even recommend something like that.

If you're looking to do something a little different with the spoiler, here is how I'm going to have mine painted but I'm not going to have the stripe on the deck lid, just the back "posts" painted. I wish I could remember who's car this is, but here are the pictures anyway:

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm gonna go for the last one I posted. If I don't like it I can change it. I work at a body shop under a painter, but this is the stuff that is like my hobby that I rarely get to do. The hardest part will be masking off the letters with the right tape so the black won't bleed into it, but I really want to try. I have a few ideas I have to test out.

That manta with the berger looks cool also.

Just get vinyl inserts that match your color instead of worrying about masking off the letters.

No one makes a vinyl in this color and it would be hard to make. Suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask Brent Franker, though.

The LS1 SS spoiler is the one posted above (all the pictures in this post). The LT1 SS Spoiler is similar, but doesn't have those two posts on the back.

They will fit either car though.

EmblemPros makes stainless steel and plastic inserts that really look good. The plastic inserts come in any color you want, and if you don't see you're color listed just email them and most likely they will do it.

I believe they are $30.

Yes, I've heard of and seen Berger panels, and I don't like those either. I just don't like the way it looks with the spoiler painted that way. I just don't understand why, if you're going to spend money on paint, you wouldn't get the same color paint as the rest of the car. Paint the spoiler, and then when you have enough money, paint the rest of the car and the whole thing will have fresh, matching paint on it.

As far as matching the black top, well, I don't like the black top Camaros either. That's why I love the fact that my 30th anniversary Z has the white halo.
