That is why you cut off the cig plug and use it as a 2 wire hook up lol.
My friend tried this and it did not work. Then he was stuck w/ a cut wire and couldn't successfully splice it back together. So be forewarned- it may not work. But i didn't try this (for that reason) so i don't know firsthand. But the lead->tip, ground->side clip thing seems doable, so they could try that i suppose.

Have any of yall done license plate frames like me? And do you think they light the front floorboard up well enough or would you recommend installing 2 10" neons in the footwells???
Thanks,
J

Ive not seen or done licence plate frames under the seat. however, in my 86 I just had the two 6" streetglows under my seat, and they lit it up great. So im sure the frame will do very well.

I did have a Red 15" in my hood, but it was no-where near bright enough... so thus it has been replaced with something better.... a LED brake light from a Nissan. Looks 100x better than the Neon did, and it lights up the hood 100x better as well.

I actually find that LEDs seem to do a better job at lighting things up than Neon's, They're not that hard to work with either, if you are making your own array's. The hardest part is mounting them or making the housing to mount a whole bunch of them. Luckily the Brake light that's in my hood couldn't have fit any better if it were made to fit in there.

There's a picture of Ash-tray mounted switches on my page, and a few other pics as well. I'll be posting some of the hood soon, I just got my Digi-Camera last nite, so it's time to start poping pictures out a LOT easier than film...

Hey man,

The vert is lookin SWEET. But in my opinion, mixing red and green neons will not look very good. I would just stick to one color.
But if you like it, that's what counts.

Anyways, the rest of the car looks really clean, and the rims look great on there.

if you cut off the cig adapter on anything smaller than a 10 inch neon, it wont work!
SG neons are all hardwire installations however...

Clipping Cig Adapter

I used Wal Mart neons under my seat and clipped the cig adapter with no problems. Its useful to know which was the ground and which the power.

ill can tell you is that when i cut off the cig adapter on my 6 inchers they wouldnt work
prob depends where that transformer is. i think the little ones have the transformer in the adapter, not on the neon itself

What until I get some better pics of it. I know about the red and green thing too. I knew someone that has an V6 Camaro and he had a red and green UB and everyone called it the Christmas Camaro. I'm going to leave the red lightings but I might move the 10 inch accents to the back of my car to light up the back floor board or to my room where I may put them under my bed.

If you wanna get rid of your green neons cuz they're too Christmassy (after Christmas has passed of course let me know cuz i may put them in my footwells to further light up the front. Now i'm waitin on a replacement Gold Series side bulb cuz my right one was broken by NTB when i went to get my tires rotated. I made some custom "rails" to bolt in w/ the neon clamps because the side bulbs were showing bad, but now they dont (yay). I need to get some pics and show yall.

Why would I want to sell my green UB? I'm talking about my red 10 accents.
