My Z28 that I'm picking up on Monday ran a 12.9 bone stock, it now runs mid 12's with a couple mods

It's a 2001, 39,000 miles, buying for 16 thousand. I'm sorry, but no third gen has that kind of power for the money

But we are all F-Bodies. Quit bickering

They do look better. ALOT better. It's pretty much common knowledge also. Lets not get into popularity/sales/overall opinion.

i do see alot more third gens though mostly in tralier park's with guys with mullets behind the wheel(you also have to rember that 4th gen's cost more) and people keep them in garages and dont put alot of miles on them. where as if i had a 3rd gen again. cost form $300-$3,500 i would not care. i see people driving 3rd gens all winter long because it dont matter if they rust away because they are not desired anymore

I used to drive my 96 WS6 thru the winter. What's the point?

Why do you come off so strong when your car only runs 13.7? I don't get it, ease up man.

ROTFL, you are complete ignorance at its best. I suggest you get out more, see what's really going on, and grow up at the same time.

Damn, who knew there was such a competition/segregation thing going on between 3rd & 4th gens. You got the 4th genners who think they're faster than any other Camaro out there and they got that cocky attitude going on, then you have the cool 4th gen guys. Then you have the 3rd gen dudes who are slower and know it and don't really care. On the other hand you have the 3rd genners who are quicker than 4th gens, and the 4th gens that get beat are usually the cocky arrogant guys who get all mad and start all the controversy...that's what it seems like, at least in the Sacto area.

lol, not desired anymore? maybe not by you, but I sure do get a heck of alot compliments.

and by the way, my car is garaged and not in a trailer park ( but even if it was, who cares? ).

and no, I don't have a mullet ( as if that has to do with anything )

lose the ignorance, you'll sound alot smarter.....

Yeah, my 3rd gen is garaged and it's primered! I'd rather be fast than have paint.

what do you mean 13.7? oh yeah right when i had the stock motor before i dumped $14,789 in a new 95 block last month(thats all parts i got labor free see sig) and payed the $7,800 balence on the loan and the $2,500 rear end and $2,200 trans and the $1,500 on nozzels but anyway i'll see you guys at the efi eliminator tracks next year. oh wait there aint any l98's yet that run it never mind(some third gens but no l98 motor's yet someone build one and come race me) btw it will be more like high 9's low 10's till i get the tuneing down. was gonna take it to lowville today but said the ground was washed out and they did not want trailers digging up the grass but maybe i'll run it at the halloween classic anyone going?

Guys- this thread is getting kinda long in the tooth.

There are many benefits to a 3rd gen.
Easier plug access, more under-hood room, and an abundance of parts.

As for the 4th gens- they were built more solid, had a better manifold, and had an appealing look.

But they are all F-bodies, so why bicker?

Have fun, be safe...see ya!
