can your car have a problem and kick off a code without your service engine light being on. or does this light have to be on for the computer to have a code.

 

yea,the light will be on if there is a code/codes. u should make sure u have a SES bulb. just turn the key to the run position and see if the light comes on,if it does its working,if it doesnt it is either burnt out or it doesnt have 1 (like mine).
