Re: To carb or not to carb....

u guys miss the ****ing point everytime. I'm not saying carbs are ****ing superier to efi, I understand that efi is alot better system then carbs i'm not a ****ing retard, of course an electronic fuel delivery system is superior to a carb. what i'm saying is that carbs have to be used in pro drag racing for reliability, consistency and less down time. what would a race car team do in between races if a senso goes out? they'd have to trouble shoot it to find out what sensor it is and then they might have to take the engine apart

Re: To carb or not to carb....

I'll tell you what. When you get your backhalfed, full tube chassis with the 4 link rear suspension, 350 or 406 "moter", with the 400 or T350 or powerglide "or corse" with that 4000 stall and trans brake and your aluminum interior and those "big tubs in the rear", and those autometer gauges, "of corse" with that big ol 4" lift off cowl hood getting sucked into your carb- running, bring it to Mason-Dixon Dragway so my EFI can make you my bi+ch.

ahhh yes i have seen the light now carbs are much more reliable then fuel injection, thats why my car is so hard to start in the winter mornings because it needs a carb on it instead of the FI, i should go and put a dominator on it right now. hold your breath i will be right back.

have u ever worked on a FI car trouble shooting is much easier, OBDII is your friend,

Make sure the humidity isn't high or low and the temp is just right, or he might not show up. And by then, people will be flying around in hover-crafts. And if you're asking me, on the bottle, around 600 rwhp and even more torque.

Re: To carb or not to carb....

scan tools do not fix cars u bonehead, I've taken enough electric classes to know that, and reliablity is not about cold mornings. I've run a carb for the past 3 years and my car has never broke down or even have trouble starting. when its cold u push the gas 5 times then when it starts u hold the rpms around 2000 for a few mins, when a car is on the track its warmed up, u ****ing idiot

wtf does this have to do with this argument. even if my car was a 305 tpi that only made 230hp putting a carb on it would decrease the performance of the car.

I'm at University Missouri Rolla, studying Mechanical Engineering. Couldn't get into the Nashville School for Diesels.
