It's Butta$$ FUGLY.
Really? I think it looks a lot better than say, a corvette. Futuristic instead of classically curvy. I prefer that *shrug* But it's a ridiculously overweight pig. Gained 400 pounds, and got SMALLER. Same reason I'm not even remotely interested in the new Lancer Evolution. It weighs the same as a freaking mustang. It's supposed to be a rally car...

I don't really understand the patriotism around vehicles....or anything, for that matter. I never have understood brand loyalty....I'll buy whatever fits my personal preference. Why do anything else?

Then noone here can 'splain it to you. Either you get it or you don't. Frankly. I don't understand your not understanding the patriotism around vehicles. The production of the Automobile has long been the pride of American industy. And one of the few remaining industries that we have. I'd much rather support MY country than Japan or Germany or whoever. If given the choice, I'll choose American. And I don't care how many cars Toyota builds HERE. I (and a lot of other people) don't consider them American cars.

Eh, I guess I just see patriotism as an artificial construct, a global scale version of highschool cliques. I never got into those when I was younger either.

Thats how I feel about it, Something else I've noticed is that the majority of people who have NEVER been outside of the USA and visited other countries(not including Mexico or Canada they are basically America jr's) are the ones who are Pro-American and Anti-anything else.

Again basing opinions on half the total amount of information.. Yea that doesn't sound familiar to anything on this board..

hah, hey I'm no america hater, I'm moving to france next year for a job with the US government.

I just don't care where a product comes from if it's what I want, that's all. That being said, Chevy is producing a Camaro that I want and so I will likely get one if they're able to keep some of my concerns in check. I wouldn't buy a 4100 pound challenger, for example....the car holds zero interest for me regardless of how cool it looks.

And if somebody came out with a nicely styled rear wheel drive car that had 50 fewer horsepower but 200 pounds less weight, I'd get that instead, as it would fit my desires slightly better. It's just that simple for me.

Four Wheel Traction..................

You got it. On a Roll he will likely get me, but I have never measured in that condition. My vehicle is a flasher so I'm very careful at all time to keep within the speed limit as necessary. Red with White stripes is begging to be pulled over!

Any crotch always prove quick off the line..... especially here in So Cali. I never hold high expectation to be able to take every single one of them.

My Trans Am has the edge when it comes to traction off the line compared to a bike........ this is where I gauge the bike and take them. Another thing I have for me is the very low miles on my vehicle. Taking a bike does not prove much except reinforce my vehicle being one of the quicker ones on the road. I'm sure many bikes have been quite surprised by the roll. Honestly man, most bikes think they own the road weaving around vehicles etc.

Where I live at in California's, bike owners of every kind have weekend get-togethers, even the imports have get togethers.... no Fbodies though hahaha

After that 30-60 ft., when he's got the clutch out all the way in first, and unless +140mph traps are on your timeslips, it's gonna get ugly...

From a roll... well... unless you told him you were racing, he probably wouldn't know it.

Unhappy Made Where?

Woe Boy......

The Camaro is being built in Canada..... Canadian Jobs? Not American Jobs from the states! GM is cutting deals to lay people off right now if you don't know. They are giving incentives for people to quit.

Chevy is just a name......... pegging certain company's with Patriotism is by far these days from being proper. Do we not have GM Australia..... we also have Ford in Vietnam.... and Volkswagen in Mexico hahahaha Then Toyota down South North America.... then Nike China?

Man I don't know what to say.... but I think the support should go to the manufacture who is building in your country.

So check this out, if Japan purchase Chevy one day, would you still support Chevy while it's being built in Hong Kong?

Patriotism entail supporting any products built in your country giving your people jobs to increase and boost the economy...... that's what MADE IN THE US represents.

Yes...but only to replace them with more reasonably-payed people. but I don't want to start that again...My point is that the deal with the UAW outlines specific AMERICAN jobs that GM will keep, and make.

As for the Camaro...assembled in Canada, yes. What about the real meat and potatoes of the car? Who actually MAKES the car...mostly the USA.

Future Dynamics

From how the Camaro is looking like right now....... I feel that the Challenger has better looking rear lights and headlights. I don't care how you cut it, both the Camaro and Challenger front does not entail any aero dynamics....... rectangular open would not be my perception of the future.

Eventhough the Camaro appeals to me, the designed could have been a little more functional. Air entail a very big factor in the dynamics of a vehicle. Have you ever hit wind when you are driving?

So what is the F5 to you? A Canadian car or an American car?

Angry The Cost and Revenue

Man, it doesn't matter how we put it or explain it.... it will always boil down to cost and revenue when it comes to the big boys. You go where it's cheap.

Just think, if it's your company, wouldn't cost efficiency be a big deal to you?

Only if Lamborghini's and Ferraris built their vehices here in the US....... we would be able to own one hahahahahah!!!!

I currently own 4 American vehicles, they all have flaws. The Trans Am I want to rid of right now have had a lot of problems and manufacturing flaws within the past years. I hope Chevy has the new Maro properly put together this time around...... poor power Window motors were a big problem for the 4th gen.

Boy, I can't even say! hahahahahahahahahh I don't think I can call them either one.... I would just call it a Camaro and leave it at that. There is no need to nationalize that vehicle in any ways.

Canadians probably feel it's a Canadian car hahahahahah

I agree but some here seem to think you should. Same thing as the 4th gens - 2 great countries teaming up to make a hell of a good car!
