Camaro in public
I understand that this car is no Production at all.. and that anything we see can change at any moment... I do understand that... but there no reason to hold back oppinion on what we see.. so GM gets an idea of what we are liking and what we aren't. That way.. if they want to change it.. or can.. they will. If we all just sit here and say: "GREAT JOB GM EVERYTHING IS GOOD" then they would not change anything.
There is a very true saying in spanish.. that goes: "Bebe que no llora... no mama" meaning a baby that doesn't cry don't get to drink milk. So.. everyone.... LLOREN for what you want changed.. now is the time.

Personally, I'm happy they're on track. Happy it appears that most of the important concept styling remains in tack. Happy that it looks like this Camaro will meet most of my desires. Now if they just let us know whether it comes with one cup holder or two...

I wouldn't mind getting another perpective on that though, since the production dimensions have the Camaro larger than the concept or the current Mustang.
I also agree with some of the others who've noticed that the whole greenhouse now appears to have been moved forward, and that the cowl is closer to the front wheels. Too bad.
This place is getting downright silly. We have continuous useless threads on topics like weight because there hasn't been any "new" news. We finally get some photos of mules in public down under, and the topic quickly turns to complaints about the door handles. On a mule? Seriously!?!
I can see it now. Photos of the production Camaro will get leaked and you guys will find something else to complain about.
Sheesh!

When I say "mass" I mean how much volume in space it takes up. And next to those Mustangs in the picture, it appears to take up less volume in space - don't you think? That's all I'm saying.

If you have them, please post them.
IF the Camaro is following in the footsteps of every other car designed and built in the last 100 years then at this stage of prototype testing the body is almost done. That means all the panels, doors, hood, trunk and front/rear fascias are all done and being prepped for production. They are using these mules for component testing. By the time these mules as I'd call them Alpha's hit the roads the body design and engineering is complete. Cars are designed and built for production essentually from the outside in from a timeline perspective. Sure there can be changes made to body panels like a raised hood option for the Z/28 or a different lower rear valance for V8 and V6 adaptation but what you see for the body panels in camo is what your going to get.
Body design is one of the most difficult and expensive parts of the vehicle and needs a long lead time since presses or suppliers must go to work so that not only is everything a go for production but the tolerances for exterior body panels must be tight and that takes time and money to perfect
Now that means the door is done with a opening for the door handle and what GM puts in there to open the door can be changed but now it's controlled by the opening in the door body. So the actual door handles can change but the door surface itself is probably all but cast in stone at this time of development.

I really like everything Im seeing so far . The smaller wheels look much better than the ridiculous sized wheels on the concept . I guess on are thats got me on the fence now , is the front bumper cover . It "appears" to have lost is wedgy lazer sharp lines for a much softer version . I sure hope thats not the case . I will save judgement until I can see it without the front bra on .
This car is so decieving
Pictures of it all alone , it looks honkin BIG . Sitting next to those Mustangs though , it doesnt look nearly as big as the solo shots lead u to believe . I really cant wait to see the done deal .
I dont see why anyone would thing the Camaro would have unique door handles ....this style was at least completely predictable . The Camaro throughout its lifespan has used corprate handles and that style handle is commonplace today .

as for the whole greenhouse moving forward.. i don't see how it really hurts the look of the car... it's hardly noticeable
