Even that is something to celebrate as the mustang looks to big and blocky on the road.

This car looks to be a lot better executed than the mustang, side by side I can see where a lot of things confuse the visual weight on the camaro where mustang just has way too many flat surfaces.

No sunroof

Doesn't look like a sunroof will be an option with the roof design, and I don't think an aftermarket can do it either. Too bad, I've got to have a roof in my cars.

Looks great like the concept in white. Not a fan of the black mirrors but the door handle looks ok to me. I'm glad GM kept the sculpted dual dome roof design.

I was planning on showing a better picture with the door handle in chrome to show that it doesn't look as bad as some think, it looks good with the right treatment actually.

This picture is from something I'm working on, that's why the rest is blurred, for what it's worth, I "knew" these would be the door handles used. All you had to do was look at pretty much every new car manufacturers door handles, GMs included, and you could figure it out.

The door handles are fine they are not out of line with most MFG today.

This also may have been something they found in feedback as to have handles that are easy to open and use. Besides while the flat ones GM look good they feel cheap since they are nothing but thin plastic.

We have to remember this car has to be appealing to more than just rabid Camaro fans. A useful ergonomic handle is high on the list of many who may buy the car to daily drive it and not just use it as a weekend play car.

Also it helps retain cost to use the GM corperate handle. GM used the same door handle on all cars through the mid 50's through 1970's. It is not a new concept.

Does anyone know yet what the 5th gen will be using for body panels?
I like how the the fourth gens (SS models) have the composite body panels up to the rear quarter panels. Doesn't ding and does'nt rust either, which is really nice.

Composite? The doors are simply a fiberglass skin. The fenders are plastic.

BTW... even the b-pillar looks great in that photo.

Just a few inches can make a huge difference. I'm not keen on the idea of a shorter, stubbier Camaro with the cabin space moved or stretched forward.

wow, just from that little bit you can see all the lines over the rear wheel are still there. it looks absolutely stunning! and ive been obsessing over what color mine will be, but i think the orange on the hardtop there may win me over!

I guess I should probably clarify, when I say that picture is something I've been working on, I mean this is a 3D model of mine and it's from an animation I'm putting together right now. I've had this "updated" model together for a while now with those door handles already on there as well as some other speculative updates. I had hoped to have the animation done before any spy shots were released and actually expected people to complain about the door handles even on my model, but oh well, I'm happy to see these spy shots, although the white is definitely misleading.

Don't necessarily expect that orange to be the final color in the animation by the way

Is it just the black and white, or me, doesn't it look "a little" tighter and more compact than the Concept???

From what we've seen so far I don't note any significant differance in the concept to prototype body size. I think the camo has done its job in confusing our eyes "IF" there is a change. Another note is that with bigger wheels and tires compared to the wheel size shown in the pics we've seen of the prototype can make the body dimentions look different but not actually be.

Any idea of when your picture will be finished? Looks pretty good so far!

I noticed it too, but I think it's an improvement.

HOTCIVIC, I would say to not expect that anytime soon, probably not even this year, since it's an animation there are a million little things that have to be worked out here and there, thanks for your interest though

Here's an extra teaser

It's not like no one knows what it looks like so I could just show it not blurred, but there are a few changes and things that I haven't decided on yet, like wheels and such. I may even do a different animation with other custom things and keep this one stock, I just haven't decided yet.
