17x9.5" +58mm?

Will 17x9.5's work on my 95 on all 4 corners with a +58mm offset? I've read +57mm matches stock ss wheels so would 1mm over make much of a difference as far as rubbing or problems are concerned? I'm checkin out some C6 Z06's from OEConcepts which come in that size. Thanks

Stock SS and WS6 wheels are 17x9.0 50mm offset. My calculations indicate that the stock SS wheel has ABOUT a 2.98" "front space" and a 6.92" backspace. The 17x9.5" 58mm calculates out to ABOUT a 2.92" "front space" and a 7.48" backspace. All the extra width is added at the back of the wheel.

All that is based on assumptions regarding the specific design of the flange that holds the tire on the rim, since that adds to the stated width of the rim. You are at a point where the inner edge of the rim is very close to the steering knuckle, and that 1mm may become an issue. On the other hand, if it is a problem, a very thin spacer would solve it.

As noted, these calculations are made using ASSumptions regarding the specific dimensions of the wheel, other than the quoted "width". Use what I post as a guidleine, with no guarantees that it is within the kind of tolerances you appear to be working under.

yeah 58mm seems a little tight then so I wouldn't want to order wheels that don't fit. I'll just shop for something that comes in a smaller offset. So would 57mm work if I found some?

I know 56mm works in the front with a 17x9.5" wide wheel, because that's what my ZR1 replicaes are. There is not a lot of space between the edge of the rim and the steering knuckle.

On the other hand, you would be looking at a very thin spacer if the 58mm wheels did interfere in the front. Probably thin enough that they would not require longer studs. No problem in the back with 58mm.
