Oh and btw the evo was the 04type body style. I'm not going to search to find out what model it is, all i know it they are ugly as sin and highly overrated. Not to mention a complete turd after 100mph. Sell your camaro and go buy a evo already.
youre a dumbass plain and simple, i posted time slips and videos, learn how to read (sorry mods for the insults i just dont deal with ignorance)

04s are evo 8s, big hp difference... stock mid 13s @about 102 as stated earlier evo 9s low13s -high 12s @106ish

plus if this evo this guy raced had a big turbo and cams you bet your *** it had a tune too. My friends evo on race gas was not tuned for the race gas he just simply put it in to turn the boost up from 23psi and with race gas it spiked at 25psi

all the proof is there in the slips and videos

I give props to both cars. Especially to a fellow 3rd gen F-Body.

Ever since the 4th gen's came out, 3rd gen's been a thing of the past and rightfully so and lets not forget the mighty LS1. I guess we all have to be open to newer and better things, but at the sametime the old can be made new again and even stronger than before. I know Evo's are pretty quick too, a friend of mine in Tenn has a stroked 8 with a bigger turbo and intercooler that runs 11.55 on 26lbs of boost and he's still tuning. So I agree they can be very respectable cars.

But everytime someone starts a thread about a 3rd gen beating another car on this website everyone waves the flag. I've beat'en plenty of fast cars and I've also had my a$$ handed to me on one or two occassions. The fact of the matter is according to ZONES89RS, his car a 3rd gen camaro out ran that Evo. If you ask me it can be done even with the mods on that Evo. How do I know? Because I've done it myself.

Any more info on your "ported and polished 70s heads" Worked stock casting 70s era heads and a Performer intake will not make 500HP on a 383 with that cam.

Cars seem to run a little different at the track than on the street.

I hope your car runs like you want.

Hell, i was going to be happy to be right beside a SS or WS6, but so far they are in my dust, all with bolt ons. I keep telling folks that it might go low 13s at the track, but since they get drug so bad they wanna get into a arguement that my car HAS to be 12s, i know it will be with a 3.73, but i think 11s are possible, i still havent put the good carb and headers on it yet.

evo's are turds... i can barely smack down a 600cc(any make/model) rocket on the highway @19psi on 93 oct from 60ish to about 120... but my evo is really old...

That should be funny. But you see, the thing about sarcasm is that you must have two opposing points. Since you cannot run down 600c bikes at 19psi on pump gas, it doesn't work. If you had stated that you could with 27psi on race gas as you list in your sig (125MPH traps), then it might work

still traped @ 113-116 on 93(no meth, no water injection) and 19 psi (2 years ago), which was faster than 90% of the 600s at the track the same day... a few riders hit low 12's in the higher teens... i have changed a few things since then to make it faster, and have not been back to the track to post a better time...

not trying to jack this post...

Lets remember we are on a Camaro forum, so the natural reaction is to be defensive about other cars winning...Hell I've handed Evo's their cheecks, and they've done the same to me.

I lost to a Exhaust only WRX since my tranny decided not thit redline and not shift and I spun more than i've ever seen my car do any other time that race...

My friend has a ZZ4 86 IROC, the motor is exactly the way it came from the crate minus the aditon of shorties, a dual gutted cat setup, and a flowmaster catback, and msd ignition, and from a roll, we RAPED a STi with intake/exhaust, intercooler, and a tune...The motor was inthe IROC ever since I beleive 97...Im not sure...

Its all a matter of driver skill, and how th ecar is running that day...We all know the car always has a on and off day, no matter how much money you put into it...

I myslef after my Z is done, will be looking for a DD, in the form of a wrx wagon, or a Evo if I can find one I can afford...I get crap from everyone on the Maxima forum I'm on, as well as the WRx forum...Just natural reaction

And this is from your garage which claims to have been recently updated:

Vehicle Color: primer black
Engine Type: 8 Cylinder
Transmission: Manual
Est. Horsepower: 375 HP
Est. Curb Weight: 3,400 lbs.
Mileage: 130,000 miles

At the Track
Best 60': 2.1995
Best R/T: .375
Best 1/8 Mile ET: 8.476
Best 1/8 Mile MPH: 89.78
Best 1/4 Mile ET: 000
Best 1/4 Mile MPH: 000

And that track time was listed as a January 21 update so it should be current and accurate.

I'm sure you've beaten a few stock and bolt on LS1's. But let me let you in on a little secret. My bolt on LS1 beats your LS1 killer by .6 in the eighth mile. And I don't even have all the bolt ons. I'm still missing the ls6 intake, underdrive pulley and gears.

Heads/cam/n20 or procharged LS1's should not just beat you but should destroy you.

But good kill on the Evo
