I was neck and neck with this thing till 130, i started to pull him back in the middle of 4th then we shut down, i mean nose to nose. We were from a 40 roll which just kina happened, we did not even leave to race each other.
What can theese do in the 1/4?
I know it was no a dig which he would killed me outta the hole but he had:
Turbo
Pipes
Intake
Cams
Tune
blah blah blah,
All the **** you need in one i guess.
He said he went 13.1 in the 1/4 stock with a filter box, he doesnt know what he would do now, but i am impressed i was right there with a EVO that has so much, he even brake boosted like a real turbo driver would.
I told him i had 2000$ in my car from bumper to bumper including the car itself and he was kina upset a car with so little and so old was right beside him.
What you guys think?
I think i am going to run him again when i get my 3.73 gears in and kill him.

BS unless it was actually stock and not modded like he said. My friend has almost the same setup as you on his third gen and he couldn't even take down my stock LS1, which is only a hair faster than a stock Evo.

Didn't we determine that ZONES89RS's car is ~ 110 mph traps judging by other races? It's a hard thing to do when you don't know the timeslips of the other cars in question but I think that's what we came up with.
Well, a AWD on a roll isnt as potent as you know, my current mods are not what are in my Fquick...

Keep telling yourself that. Evo's are not gods by any means, they run good stock due to a launch thenafter 100mph they are HUGE turds. How you can sit here and try to say that evo could have trapped blah at blah bla blah time when you dont know crap about the car is sad. He listed whats was done, but he sure didnt go into that much detail to where you should be talking the times the evo "should run".
block work 200$
383 rotating assy. 500$ ballanced
heads 300$ ready to strap on with crower roller rockers
air gap intake 50$
carb free(stole it off a big block truck)
headers 50$ used
cam 245$
stock roller lifters from a LT1 i tore down from a friend
gaskets and bearing/rings cam with the 383 kit
kit was already ballanced
wheels were 300$ used
So im at 2100$ or so, it goes over when you consider small things like fuel pump and tires, brakes and 100$ for a rearend, but you get the idea.
The 383 kit cam with vortec heads too, but i sold them for 500$, so i subtract that from what i got in the car and it is close to 2000$
I am pro budget, i wait for deals, i sell old parts to fund the new. Most of the car, maybe 85% is paid for by selling old parts, i only make 30K a year so this is the only way it gets done.
That's a real inexpensive setup you've got there... hopefully it doesn't prove to be a cheap setup that soon breaks.Any plans to run this thing at a track?

a larger turbo + cams youd be stupid to think the car wouldnt trap higher than 115 and be deep in the 11s..

I belive it now, but I doubt the EVO has as much as he is claiming.
