Well, like i said, i had him open the hood. Looked good, and had everything aftermarket he claimed(i of course could not see the cams).

****er ran harrrd and i respect the mitsu for all it is.

Like i said though, i get my 3.73s in, i am going to be looking for him again.

you would know if it had cams just from the idle unless he had the idle set higher than 1000rpms and a larger turbo is easily 120mph traps on those cars

a larger turbo + cams youd be stupid to think the car wouldnt trap higher than 115 and be deep in the 11s..
Not everybody runs the ideal times in their car. Big turbo high revving low displacement cars aren't as easy to drive at their full potential. I've seen countless DSMs over the years that should be quite fast, but aren't. It's not like they have the benefit of a large displacement OHV motor's torque to push them into the powerband. They have a horrible powerband, and unless you really driving the **** out of the car they don't run well. Hell, even a stock EVO is a turd till you wind it out. Go bigger with the turbo and it gets worse. But I'm sure you already knew that.

Regardless of what an AWD car traps, they just don't do that well from a roll, like an automatic V8 car.

i know plenty of stock and aftermarket turbo evos around here that are more than happy to race from a roll and do damn well, evos gearing is so close that once youre in the power band, you stay in it

The local Mitsu dealer got an STi at auction and called me to check it out because it sounded like it was missing at idle. It was an easy fix - "That's what a Subaru w/ aftermarket exhaust sounds like." That was the first STi I ever drove and I must say I'm glad I picked the Legacy. If I was 10 years younger, maybe, but I'm happier with the daily aspects of my old man car.

One day I'll own a turbo v8 car. Come to think of it, they make an STS kit for my truck that delivers something like 450 whp...

I have been getting the itch to do a single turbo on my RS, i gotta do some research and see what the lag and what not would look like and what not, but i see single turbo cars go 7s in race form, so a single turbo on a street car can go high 8s, easily low 9s, which i would be doung on 93 octane.

Is it really that easy to run high 8's, low 9's on 93 octane?

haha if only it were really that easy... ya know suspension being dialed in... launch being perfect... turbo being optimized... motor handling the power... nah not too tough ..... right

i know plenty of large turbo "street" cars that are v8s that would be happy to get in the 10s... 8s and 9s? as a car you enjoy to drive daily on the street not gonna happen often unless its an LS7 which heads and cam can put into the 9s with the right driver and setup

my point exactly... i know one person with a 9 running 12.0@115 on stock turbo with only exhaust intake and mbc

i know plenty of 8s in the 12s and 11s... im by far no import fan but i know the capability of these cars and what they should and can run... even if this guy couldnt run the numbers at the track, the skill was taken out because you went from a roll awd or not this guy still shouldve put buses on you if he truly had what you say
