And if I want to "feel" more torque, I'll simply add some gear.

LOL.
LS1 vs. LT1
What a surprise. The LS1 is not the king of every category. Hasn't this one been ground into the dirt already? LT1 is more responsive and has more grunt, sounds better. LS1 pulls up top like a freak show and is awesome to mod. Sheesh.

Hahaha...
I guess I just showed what I said wasn't true
I bow to the superior low end grunt of the LT1
Be warned, this won't be the last time that I'm wrong
I don't know about others, but I'm not fighting... I just want proof... even if it proves me wrong

You're going to need several LT1s and LS1s just to show that it's an average.
All vehicles will have to be at operating temp.
Even synthetic oil can give a few hp on top compared to conventional.
They all need to be stock- having intake & exhaust results would be nice also to show how the powerbands shift.
I suppose if there's enough people from one area on this board they might be able to pull something off.
It would be a big PITA, but I'm sure it would make a great sticky at the top of one of the forums.
Or all of them.

There. You heard it.
BTW....torque does win races...when multiplied by rpm. But wait! That's HP. Imagine that.
Re: The LT1 is a torque monster compared to the weak a** 4.6.
Thats why I love my lt1.The unmatched pin you back in your seat torque from a stoplight.I have test drove two ls1 camaros, and they just dont have quite the low end punch of an lt1.They definitely make up for it with their awesome mid to high end torque.I dont care what anyone says(bob cosby)the ls1 is not near as fun from a stand still as an lt1.

I guess you win the 0-5 mph race (on street tires, on the street, and nowhere else). Congratulations.
