I never said my car was immpresive.I dont think it really is. some people think it is because it looks stock. But nowadays a 9 second mustang is just average.You can go to a test and tune at my local track and there will be at least 5 mustangs running times quicker than me but you'd be hard pressed to find a civic there that runs those times.Why is that? Because its easier to built a 9 second mustang tham a 9 second civic. So the smart person would build the easier car if they wanted a 9 second car.

As for imports making power...I personally saw a guy make 600 @ the wheels in a 2000 lb **** box...once he works the bugs out...maybe 700ish...

Now would it be a drag car...please, not in this lifetime...but from a roll...there are only a few in this entire forum member roster that could play with that guy.

That EVO is badass and I think it is lame that some guy in his beater muscle car spraying who know how much with who knows what motor it took to beat him. But the Camaro was pretty bad *** in it's own right.

 

I never said a civic needed to impress me. I just said the turbo civic that beat the turbo F body in the previous posts did'nt impress me. thats all. Trust me I'm not interested in civic's in the least. I feel they are only good for winter beaters because the are good in the snow (but I'm buying a SRT4 for my winter beater) or for someone who is only interested from going from point A to point B.A civic is like the Ford escort and chevy chevette were in the 80's. A cheap basic car.And anyone doing anything other than that is just wasting there money. Remeber no matter how many times you polish a turd in the end its still a turd.

Ok but what If you run 9's for less than the cost of a bone stock Ls1 then wouldnt that make the ls1 a waste of money?

First off I was giving you my opinion which what message boards are for.

second I never said it cost less to build a 9 second car than the cost of a stock LS1. My LS1 only cost me $20k over 2 years ago. you can pick one up cheaper now.trying to make a 16 second honda run fast is a waste of money. The money it would cost to make a civic run 13's you could bet a LS1 into the 11's and the cost to get a civic into the 11's you could get a LS1 into the low 10's.

And yea I drive a mustang and a LS1. I'd much rather have one of those than anything Japan has to offer.

 

I guess some people would rather drive japanese cars that runs slower than a faster american car, but I guess your opinion is a good opinion and another person opinion that doesnt reflect yours is bad...

 

The thing is. Your on a camaro site and the vast majority of the people on here would rather have a american muscle car than a japnese economy car (thats what civic's are considered). If you were to go to a import related site you would find more people that like imports than on here.Most of the import topics on here are trolls trying to stir up s***. Thats why I show no respect for people on here starting topics about imports.They're s*** steerers.If I wanted to find out anything about imports I would go to an import related site.

dude, you open an import thread on your own free will. shocking as it seems there are people that like both fbodies and imports. and im willing to bet with a thread title mentioning the fact that an import beat a domestic, that there are gonna be posts by people that like the import. yet you still came in? that right there proves you really DONT have to be smart to make a car fast.

 

But someone going onto a camaro site making a topic about a import beating a camaro is'nt trying to start S***? I opened the topic because I wanted to see how fast they were and since my car is faster I figured I'd bust a little import *****.So when you run into people bragging/towting about there cars which happen to be slower than yours. dont you occasionally like to bust they're ***** too? Gotboost wont tell what times he's running when I asked him. It must not be that impresive of a time i guess.

 

thats funny, people dont get this worked up on an import board thats worth a sh*t. if someone posts a video of a fast domestic beating a fast import they give it props. the few that bash the cars get flamed like you wouldnt believe. but yet the ONLY sites i see getting all bent out of shape with stuff like this is domestic boards. and i dont see where GotBoost? has claimed his car is faster than anyone else so i dont see why his times matter.

as an aside, can i ask what you trap in the 1/8th and the 1/4? this is for my own personal curiousity...
