Gotboost wont tell what times he's running when I asked him. It must not be that impresive of a time i guess.

Again you make irrelevant posts because the link said teh camaro beat the import, my car is work in progress, kinda like your 6 second trans am.

as an aside, can i ask what you trap in the 1/8th and the 1/4? this is for my own personal curiousity...
My best speed in the quater is 146mph with a very safe tune. When I get a parachute It'll be tuned up for over 150mph. Here some pics of my cars on cardomain

Another reason why I would rather drive a 10 second civic than a 9 second stang. you dont have to change cars during the winter to not kill yourself or get only 10mpg

Accually I dont have to change cars for the winter. Beleive it or not I drove my T/A all winter. If you just use your head and be careful .RWD's can be driven in the snow. i know some one else who has a 11 second 'stang that drives it year 'round. And I live in New England. Winters suck up here.
The main reason i want a winter car is for the salt on the roads. After driveing all this winter it took me about 2 hours to polish each one of my TTII's . FWD is better in the snow than RWD so I figue I'd get a FWD. So I figuer I'll get a SRT4. They seem pretty cool for what they are.

I never said rwd cars wont drive in the snow, its definatly not as safe, I also dont like the fact that you cant exactly take a 9/10 second solid alxle car on a road course, especially if its on drag launch springs, you can take off the slicks from a 10 second honda and put on falken azenis and your car is ready for a road course, and still idles stock and gets 30+mpg, but its all preference I guess.

So GotBoost, what is it, exactly, that you've been trying exceedingly hard to tell all the f-body, vette, mustang, etc owners on here since the day you became a member? We all would really like to know.

Re: "that" Evo getting worked by a Camaro

Ok, so an old rusty first generation camaro with a motor design that dates back to the mid 50's and a TWO SPEED AUTOMATIC transmission with nitrous beat an Evo with a six speed manual, 30 lbs of boost and nitrous FROM A ROLL???

AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!

I'm not really sure what all the fuss is about, both cars were quite fast. If my car was that fast I'd probably trailer it places as well just in case parts broke, and at that power level I would expect things to break on either car. I'd honestly like to have either one, whether it be a fast late model Evo, or a first gen Camaro street bruiser. Once again I don't see what all the fuss is about- a fast import gets taken to walkedville on the street (from a roll at that) and some new troll has to come out of the woodwork to defend it and talk about Honda's while he's at it

I'm kind of confused here... I thought in the video... that first scene was the Camaro guy removing his Nitrous...to show he was going all motor. That's what it looked like... other wise I can't see why he's unhook his bottle and remove it from the car...unless he was goign to a refill station.

I saw that scene as well, but he had to make that run on the spray. The in car video from the Evo showed the Camaro walking off on him pretty easily, and we're talking about a 600+ whp car plus it said he had a 55 shot.

Re: "that" Evo getting worked by a Camaro

both cars are monsters. the evo is more comfortable, better in the snow, etc. but they didnt have a rally race or a whose seats are the most comfortable competition. they were drag racing, and the camaro won.

i just wish they would have ran from a dig because i have a feeling that camaro would have ate the evo up REAL bad. big turbo from a roll = big advantage on the evo's part. the camaro's stall, the glide, and the spray wouldve got him out of the hole real quick and pounded the EVO on the 60's... at least in my opinion.

but i agree that the camaro probably was not much of a street car. no exhaust is not the definition of a race car. if youre sprayin a 300hp hit of the gas, i dont want exhaust on there either. but if the car is overheatin at lights, no headlights, no tails, no alternator etc. then it definitely is not a street car.

You haven't drag raced against many AWD DSMs, have you? At this power level, a 2-step rev limiter and a small shot of nitrous (that this Evo has) is all you need to cut 1.50 second 60 foots on radials. Even on the boot I can't beat them out of the hole in my Mustang.
