Cobra got beat






The new mustangs are just a hair faster than LT1 Camaros and Trans Am's. Right in between the LT1 and LS1. A couple hundred dollars in bolt ons will close the gap, not a H/C or FI setup. If done properly, a good H/C LT1 will run low 12's all day with a good handful hitting high 11's. H/C closes the gap with 03/04 Cobra's,.
Thst some of the funniest **** ive heard all day..Newer Gts will kill a LT1 stock for stock and a pullied cobra (which is considered a mild mod) runs close numbers to some heads/cam LS1's. If they have a bell swap(which is pretty inexpensive for what it is) the Ls1 better be bringing some serious cubes/FI. Nowadays needing heads and cam to run low 12's high 11's is garbage. Bolt on/stalled LS1's do that.
But I'll run anyone with a bolton 09 Mustang for their LIFE... on my fairly fresh, basically stock, full interior, Lt-1 and bring your self esteem builders... 'cause you're gonna need 'em.
This thread should be closed up and we should begin to adjust to the new .gen-Camaros and the Mustangs... My guess is the 6 cylinder Camaro will be feeding the GTs their lunch and when the new Z28 is released, the Rousch Mustangs are screwed... and it's gonna remain so for the foreseeable future.
A new day is dawning and the war is BACK! And not a minute too soon... It gets SO tiring hearing the Mustang drivers crow about taking down 15 year old car that a Highschool kid bought for $500, with their shiny new, $40K factory blown Pony...
