SW's TurboImports.com/Performance-Motorsports T72 Supra shocked the import world by running a 9.81 @ 153.58mph on a stock bottom end. The head has NEVER been off this car.

and whats with the first point? someone said japanese cars dont have heritage. i got a good example off the top of my head. ever heard of the nissan z car? well lets see here, that dates back around 30 years if not more. but i guess this doesnt matter because what that guy REALLY meant to say was, it has to have a heritage here in the states. can we add any other bullsh*t in that makes this a biased one sided arguement? like perhaps, which has the longest history of coming standard with mobil 1 oil or good year tires. please guys give it up.

for those that have been around here long enough, the track kills section used to be the kills section. dedicated to street racing kills and videos. then because of legal liabilities it was renamed. i remember that happening almost 3 years ago or better. and whats funny, is no one questions street racing videos of domestics. funny how if its a domestic beating an import, or domestic video period its ok. but the few and far between import videos that are posted are always flamed. please tell me why someone cant just say "nice car, good race but not my cup of tea" but instead we end up with threads like this that are multiple pages of general bullsh*t? no one wille ver dignify that with a real answer. just more bs.
i dont know what threads those quotes were taken from. but i can assure you he is as much of a domestic fan as he is an import fan. its just the downsides to the domestics outweigh the good sides in his case. that said, hes always saying that kind of stuff to me on a personal basis in good fun. i could be wrong about those however.
and i WILL tell you that he started no sh*t in that evo thread. notice the smiley below his post? ya, that means its said in a joking manner, smart guy. everyone in that thread got all defensive and thats when the sh*t hit the fan. again it goes back to the question i asked before, why are you guys so defensive about stuff? threads similar to this (without the BS) are carried out daily on honda-tech.com and supraforums.com ect and with the exception of the huge egos on the supraforums, nothing ever happens. you would be surprised how many import enthusiasts are domestic enthusiasts as well. cant say its the other way around tho...?

i own both (import and domestic)and so do alot of other f-body owners, im building my laser and leaving the f-body alone because dollar for dollar the DSM is faster, it doesnt look as good or sound as nice but it is flat out faster. im not sayin for everyone to run out and buy an import, but im sayin dont knock it till youve tried it. (nomex suit on)

Camracer, would these ego's still happen to be Mark T. and Guilly P. along with Saad Saad? Just wondering cause they were totally out of control on the MKIV.com list when I was there....until they got banned that is

Actually, the GTO has a great backseat. I pile 3 kids in it all the time. Not sure how it compares to the evo though. The evo is a great car and I considered it before I bought the GTO, but at the end of the day, the fact that it doesn't have leather or a 6 spd killed it for me, plus, I just couldn't bring myself to be seen in it. Car enthusiasts know what it is and respect it, but to the average joe, the Evo just looks like a gaudy ricer.
My point was, *** cars don't have much heritage here, just in Japan so you really can't use that to argue your point.....and yes, if you look at my sig you'll see I'm pretty familiar with the Z cars

back to the thread real quick. i still dont understand why people overlook everything about a car that makes it good or bad and only buy it based on heritage (yes i know theres other things but for arguments sake)? why not instead buy whatever fits what you need and want for the price you want to pay? and hey if thats still an fbody its whatever works for you. but for me i still havent seen a way for an fbody to reach the performance levels im wanting for anything resembling a decent price. but thats me.

I guess i just dont get your way of thinking...you come to a camaro site and pick and choose the threads you want to reply in soley on whether or not theyre talking about imports, and then post about how imports are better than camaros. I mean come on, what type of response do you really expect to get? There are plenty of other forums you can go to if you want to talk about imports. Im a member of many automotive forums including a Honda forum but i dont go into those forums and talk about how my car is better than theirs all the time, i have too much other stuff i could be doing besides that.
I just dont get what your trying to prove sometimes...im not gonna trade in my f-body for an import, and im not gonna think any differently about them b/c of the stuff you say. In fact all your doing is making me feel even more cocky everytime i murder a civic out on the road in my car, thats all.
Sure there are fast imports, sure you can make them fast...i dont think anyone is denying that, but for every fast Honda or whatever theres PLENTY of fast domestics. Im just not getting what your trying to prove i guess. If you could help me out here id appreciate it.
Once again, if i wanted to talk about Evos id go to an Evo forum. If i wanted to talk about turbo civics, id go to a Civic forum. Why dont you go there and talk about them instead of coming on here and posting it when you know its just going to start ****. That's awesome! Ryan Woon used to be a friend of mine while I was active in the Supra community. He was a great driver for a young guy. Glad he called out Saad, cause Saad was one of the biggest jag-off's I've ever seen. His parents gave him all the money he wanted and the guy just blew up. Total dick.
As far as what else you said, I couldn't agree more on the heritage thing. I buy my cars based on what I like and the deal I can get. Don't care who makes it or what it's history is. However, if you think you can't make an Fbody fast for little $$ you're not trying hard enough. You can pick up a LT1 Z28 for $4k or less. Rebuild the engine or get a 500 hp crate engine for $5-6k and have a 10 or 11 sec. car for $10k. Can you build a 500 hp Civic for less than $10k?

Actually Jason all of them are banned sans Ryan who has gone faster than anyone in a street MK4. Saad I can remember never could drive even when had his Mk3 and is a big mouth. He had a falling out with Ryan maybe because Ryan without a team and parent's money still went faster.
