Just out of curiousity what makes your GT a factory freak, hard to tell without any times posted?

Its a joke me and my friends go with. I raced a guy in a S281 and beat him with only pullies and exhaust by a car. So now as a inside joke we say that.

Should I have won? Most likely not.

Ahh got it, depending on what year the blown saleen was. You probably would have had a chance w/ a 96-98 and a bad driver

I have a close friend near Charlotte that owns a stock Bullitt and we used to go trackin together a few years ago. I remember his first trip down the 1/8th mile well. First trip was ugly as he had never been down the strip in his life. It resulted in a 10.35 @ 76 mph.

Then all of a sudden he lets his brother get in and drive it. I was impressed to say the least. He ticked off an 8.68 @ 80 mph

That was actually the best run I saw come out of it as he averaged 8.90s for the months to come that we got together.

That particular run was against a C5 vette ( dont know mods if any )
and he put a whippin on him. C5 ran something like an 8.80 , but with a 82 mph trap.

Just goes to show you, never get too cocky and always do your research whether or not you like the brand.

Let us know how it turns out.

Bullitt stock is running 14.1
I have an '03 Mach 1thats running 13.7 1/4 w/automatic
The 5-speed Machs are running 13.2's

I would say the Mustang would win. Its a little faster than a GT.

I can agree with double SS on this one ....even though my Mach ran high 13.30s with just 800 miles on the ticker stock. Im more gifted at driving than some ( brag..brag ) Mostly the auto Machs are dog slow in the 14 second range without converters or gears to regain power the tranny sucks out.
Here is the problem for most mod motor owners with the 32 valve engine. The engine cant produce hp as easilly on the bottom end like an LS1 so you really have to turn those rpm's up over 6,000-6,800 to get the power out of em. Problem is.... when most average Joe drivers do this, they get a ton of wheel spin and the party is over quick. Same principal goes for the bullitt, even though its limitted in rpm range. Most 5 speed Machs run 13.5s - 13.9s respectively with a good driver. I never have paid attention to what 1/4 mile times any Bullitts are running locally at sea level so I cant comment on that.

DO NOT come here and post what you get from a google search as times. Hell some people have gotten 12s out of LS1s. Do you see that on albeedigital? NO.

Ive seen stock GTs turning between 13.7-9 completely stock(no exhaust, no filter, no tires, no weight reduction) The bullit has a better suspension, and better intake setup. Its not light years ahead of the GT but it still is a good car.

Ive stated it before, the Mustang is more widely known to people as a "fast" car. Many young teens and women drive these things. It will of course put the driver mod most of the time into the hands of the Camaro/Firebird. But on the rare occasion a actual car enthusiast is driving it with some ability he can be pretty potent. Im not saying that he will be a 6speed z but the autos are fair game.

Hell my pullied car had beat a few Fbodies stick and auto, does that make my car faster than every stock fbody?

His was bone stock but it didnt play around it was quick! That Bullit edition was a beautiful car, I Loved it even thow it was a ford!

Ive never seen an SN-95 mustang run 13.70s bone stock..NEVER.....With slicks your lucky to get 13.90s.....THe (bullit) was made with a lowered and tuned suspension, DIfferent brakes and a SO called improved Intake....Which does absolutly nothing unless you go Forced INduction which is what most to when they purchase this.... I had a Full Bolton 03..minus a cam and Heads and Gears was pulling 272 Rwhp...running 13.40s...I got a buddy with (5m) F/B 4.10s and a Cam with only 292 Rwhp and he ran 12.90s but with Slicks...... AND Its not even worth the 1400.00 Heads...Most only get 12 rwhp with that set up...the most ive seen out of a GT engine with everything is 315 Rwhp....That included a fast management system lol...

Anyway...TO Get a mustang competing with a stock LS1 times and Power output....LOL u need to spend 4-6k....I got tired of that CRAP and just bought a LS1....To which I all I have to do is add a LID, and Programmer, Catback and be completly out of reach from a FULL MODDED MUSTANG

And If you would just look around on THIS SITE, you'd be sad to see alot of bolt on LS1's that can't break 13.4's.
But I guess that just means these guys can't drive, right?
See what I did there?

SS02-The 99-04 mustang was called the "edge", the body style before that was sn-95 from 94-98.

Also we were not comparing LS1s to Edge body stangs. Another note is that just cause you have all the power doesnt mean you can plant it. Panhard rods, LCAs, UCAs, springs.

Ive seen people with 260rwhp hit 12s. You can go even go look on corral for time slips.
