We are working on it. I sent the e-mail you sent us to our supplier.

Your e-mail was hard to understand, so we are trying to figure it out.

I will forward this to our supplier as well and see what the problem may be. We have never had problems like this that I can remember.

Sit tight, we'll see what we can find out!

I've been out of town and just saw this post, I have a 93 A4 and installed the switch a couple of days after I received it and it works fine. I haven't read all of these pages but one suggestion I have is to check the green wire that you spliced into as there are two green wires in my harness. The correct wire is the thinner of the two.

Alanrk, JJJ93z...

It is tough to diagnose this via the Internet. I would just retrace your wiring and look for any "crossed wires" and make sure it is all wired up correctly.

If that still does not work, you can return it to us for an exchange.

Sorry for the problems!

Everyone else, the final shipment will be going out SOON!

Re: How about an LT1-LS1 Manual Fan Switch GP?

I'm having a problem with my switch as well. I followed the instructions (very easy to install), I turn te key to ON and i flip to switch to high speed fans and both LEDs light up and the high speed fans turn on. When I turn the switch to the low fan only the 1 LED comes on but no low speed fan.

Has anyone heard from speed specialty lately? It's been 2 days and I've sent numerous emails updating them on my situation, but no reply. Thursday I got a reply within an hour, now its been 2 days... This is a problem because I noted I will be leaving to college in under a week, and would like the switch to be in operation by then.

Sorry, but we are usually more active during business days. We just got your e-mails.

The switches are somewhat simple in nature, the problems that we have expereinced with them were mostly wiring issues, so far it has never been a craftsmanship problem. We also don't think there could be any issues with a particular year of car.

Regardless, it is tough to diagnose this via the Internet. I would just retrace your wiring and look for any "crossed wires" and make sure it is all wired up correctly. If you lost the instructions that came with the switch, just e-mail us and we will send you an compulter file of the instructions.

If that still does not work, you can return it to us for an exchange. However, we are unable to send a replacement out until we receive the original back so we can examine it for any craftsmaship errors.

Sorry for the problems!

Re: How about an LT1-LS1 Manual Fan Switch GP?

Rather than email back & forth, I think I'll post here so other readers can inform me of problems they have/had and what was wrong.

How can it be possible for my unit to still detect fan settings, but not have any control over them? That doesn't make sense to me, but I don't know everything.

I would send it back for an exchange, but I don't have the time - by the time I ship it back to you and I get a replacement shipped, I'll be off to college. Even just the switch (no wires, etc. would be appreciated). I'm not removing the whole unit - everything is in and tied up, soldered, heat shrunk, etc. and the time it would take me to undo all that is not worth it. What I can do, is try a new switch - if your not willing to send me a new switch w/o me sending the current one, let me know ASAP. I'll buy any OBDII switch available if you will sell it to me at the GP price. Thanks.
