Re: How about an LT1-LS1 Manual Fan Switch GP?

All,

Most of the orders placed earlier in this sale have been sent out. Those that were sent out should have received an e-mail confirmation of this, or you can log into our store and check status there.

The next batch of orders should be going out later this week or early next week.

Thanks!

Re: How about an LT1-LS1 Manual Fan Switch GP?

speedspecialty , i emailed you last night , i am having problems installing my switch.I installed my fan switch according to the directions provided in my 93 z28. however when the key is out of the ign. an accessory fuse. the low fan led is lit. in the off position. when i flip it one way it remains lit , when i flip it the other it lights up both, but the fans do not turn on. when i turn the key to the on position the led goes out and when i flip the switch either way i have no leds lighting up . i read on a previous post that the blue & green wires need to be switched on obd switches. any help would be great thanks

Installed the switch today. Works like charm. Pleased with purchase and communication. Makes things nice to just flick a switch when I want the fans on in traffic.

Just ordered...under comments I noted I was a Camaroz28.com member. Hope I can still get the great deal, It said the GP was going thru the 23rd I believe? Thanks for the great GP, looks like it was a success.

Re: How about an LT1-LS1 Manual Fan Switch GP?

Just ordered a switch, as commented on above, and I had the first LED Yellow and the second LED Red. What I would like to do, if not too late, is change the first LED for Low-Fan Operation to Blue.

1st LED (low): Blue
2nd LED (hi): Red
OBDII

I understand that it is an extra $5 (bringing the total from $27 to $32), if you can go ahead and change the order, you have my permission to do so - if I have to re-submit an order before the 23rd, let me know. Sorry for the last minute order/changes. Thanks!

Lightbulb Re: How about an LT1-LS1 Manual Fan Switch GP?

this sounds like an awsome idea for only 27$...just out of curiostiy..what would it cost to do it on your own buying all the necessary parts? i know you can pic up the led/switches for only a few bux. I dont want to puchase this right now..but soon.
im not bad with wiring/electronics..but ive never really messed with the wiring system on my Z. For someone who would be a first timer with splicing/cutting/etc with this installation..is it easy to mess up? and if you mess up...does it ruin any factory placed wires that you'd have to pay to have replaced? also..i noticed only until the 23 this was going on. Is there going to be another GP soon for this and can you initially chose any color combo you want without xtra charge? say green low...red high or something? Thanks in advance guys, Derek
***oh by the way, how do i know which OBD system/connection i have? ive never messed with it and i have a 94Z28 6psd. As far as i know except for my motor and exhaust, everything is stock. Thanks

Re: How about an LT1-LS1 Manual Fan Switch GP?

What did I do wrong?

I have a 97 Z28. Ordered OBDII. Followed the directions completely...

* when the car is off and no key, the switch controls both lights, no fans
* when the car is off, accessory on, the switch controls both lights, no fans
* with the car running, switch doesnt control fans, but when the computer turns the fans on, the appropriate light comes on.
Basically the switch does not, in any way, control the fans.

Alan
