TCS help....

..Ok here we go...I'm getting ready to remove my LS1 brake set up to give to Matt and to make room for my Baer's..anyway..I was reading my manaul and it says the following:

"Do not attempt this procedure if your vehicle is equipped with the Traction Control System (TCS), as the brake system cannot be bled without the use of a Tech-1 or T-100 (CAMS) scan tool."

..so what the hell do I do now

...ok, also in regards to an LS1 brake up grade...will the rear caliper and rotor work on an LT1? Matt...your getting this system..so please chime in and anyone else that can help me...so what I want to do is remove my rear end so I can clean up all the surface rust and make her look sexy.

Thanks;

Mike

I do NOT think the rear's will work as the spindles on the axles? make it impossible or far from worth it...

When people normally do the LS1 Brake upgrade on LT1 cars, they only do the fronts.

What Baer setup did you get Sleeper? The Track pack?

I'm looking forward to upgrading my brakes as well, but I'm going to go with the C5 hardware I think... Either that or the Baer Track kit... They're both around the same price I think, but then the C5 rotors are cheaper and its all GM gear...

No doubt you'll LOVE the extra stopping power tho!

Good luck man!

...thanks man..and you're right, I did some research on the upgrade and the fronts only would work..I am in contact with someone on this board who is selling an LS1 upgrade for 165.00 usd......I paid 1400.00 usd for my GT+ kit with 13.5" front rotors and earispeed (sp?) rear rotors..all zinced, slotted and drilled...I look forward to stopping on a dime after a 11.5 sec quarter ...

Gotta link for the C5 stuff @ GMPP?

I wasn't aware they were selling them... Especially the adapters/brackets to make the calipers fit and work...

but honestly, i'm a cheapass, so I'd buy some used Z06 calipers and gear from someone upgrading

so I'm figuring around 5-600 for ALOT better braking then stock LT1's... But then I see the baer, and my mind starts turning again... Oh to be rich!!! hehe
