after riding in many VW's i can tell you that in a few more years, that GTI will rattle too

Oh I don't know about that..........I've owned the same 1986 Diesel Golf since I was 16 and it makes less squeaks and rattles than my Camaro.
At any rate the older ones were put together well.
You still going to keep your Golf Jim, for a daily driver, or sell it for the hot car?

thats cuz it doesn't have a nice rumble & torque like your camaro, my firefly has no squeeks at all, does that mean its quality? Its an 89 firefly with 260,000 clicks on the odometer I'm talking no squeeks, no matter what there is none, you cant get a squeek even if you try to move the dashboard cuz its on there so tight.
