Wiring A/F Gauge

I have not messed with the wiring on these cars much. How would you recommend I wire in an A/F Gauge? If I go right to one of the O2 sensors, do I just splice in? I do not have any directons!

Thanks,

Paul

ok the gauge has 3 wires red, black, and purple

red wire is a power wire, black wire is a ground wire, and the purple goes into the o2 sensor wire, so yes your splice that wire in the wire for the o2 sensor

Not a good idea to cut or splice directly on the stainless steel sensor wires. Make your splice in the car's wiring harness, anywhere between the plug and the PCM. The wire you want is purple one on the passenger side (pin C8) or the purple/white on the driver's side (pin C20). A thought... connect both sensor wires to the poles of a single-pole/double-throw switch, and be able to read either side with the gauge.

Not a lot of info to be gained with the gauge... seems to be mostly for the entertainment value of the psychedelic light show

Watch your self with that light show though. There have been a few times I've been caught at a light just sitting and staring at that thing.

Ohhhhhhhhh, pretty lights.
