Fuel Type Regular
MPG (city) 19 17
MPG (hwy) 28 24
MPG (comb) 23 20
Annual Fuel Cost* $1043 $1200
i got his off of http://www.fueleconomy.gov/
numbers to the left are v6 to the right are v8
cost of fuel for a year when milage = 15,000 miles per year and the gas price is 1.60
ok the reason for all that mumbo jumbo is i might be selling my 94 rs to my uncle & buy another camaro becuase its cheaper than fixing a dent and also leather is sounding real good to me if 93-95 z's have leather so my question is can i trust what that site tells me about the difrence in gas for a year ?

Here's my experience from my Z28. Stock it had 2.73 gears. It usually got 20mpg in traffic and 25-6 on the highway. I usually travel at 75mph though. With the standard superchips program (bought it used for $100) I went on a weekend trip and tried for the best milage I could get. At 65mph I got an amazing 29mpg. That's LS1 territory.
Now with the 3.42's and the auto trans I get about 23mpg on the highway. So the site you quote is a little conservative. If you drive to save gas you should get at least 300 miles/tank on the highway and 220 in the city.
Conclusion....you can get decent milage in a V8.
P.S. have you tried fuel treatment??? It makes a difference.
