Post In-line battery fuse, what size?

What all determines what size the inline battery fuse is, the power wire gauge size is around 8guage I think, the amp is an MTX Thunder TH2150X and it has two 30 amp fuses.

add the values of the fuses that are in the amps. you will need a 60A fuse inline.

The whole point of inline fuses is to protect the wire, not the amp. It is made to trip when the wire is flowing too much which in turn cuases the wire to get extrememly hot and melt the cover off of it. For 8 guage you can go from 40 amp - 80 amp. Depending on the length of the cable. You should be fine with a 50 or 60. I have a 200amp to 2 guage wire into two 4 guages with 100 amps fuses.

Another good refrence is to look at how much power you running, and look at wiring kits with your power rating and what sized fuses they use.
