What size Tranny Cooler?

I am taking out my 6-speed and putting in a 700R4. I don't have the fittings in my stock radiator so I need a cooler. Would a 19,000 be more than enough or will I over heat the trans. I am putting in a 3500 stall too.

I would just get the bigger 24,000. That is what I put in my car. Won't hurt anything.

Most people I know of go with the B&M 24,000 GVW cooler. It's a kit and comes with everything you'll need to hook it up. I'll be getting mine this week.

I am using this neat unit from B&M since space is at such a premium in our cars and I didn't want something in front of the radiator. Because of the integral fan, you can mount it almost anywhere. I put mounted it horizontally under the passenger side headlight. http://www.bmracing.com/products/acc...es/hiTekCooler. It's small, but it works well. The fluid temp was 190 degrees after stalling the transmission to 5,000rpm against the brake and making a dyno run.

Another vote for the B&M 24k cooler. It's what I run.

B&M 24k gross vehicle weight cooler. Can't go wrong with it.
