how does it know if we got Z tires on there... i know i do but how does it know?

 

Well, it doesn't know what you currently have. It depends on what package was your car ordered with ORIGINALLY. So if you chose the crappy tires, then you got the nice 110 speedo and the 108 limiter. (upgraded later to 118)
