Anyone ever had this problem . Last night after I drove it for about 20 min.
Then I shut it off it ran on . Then I tried to start it but it grunted like the timming is fast.I have heard its easty to get the timming off 180.

if it's off 180 you would not be able to drive it, if it runs on after the ignition is shut off it's called dieseling and is caused by carbon build up in the combustion chamber, you should sea-foam it to clear that up

What year is your car? Adding a "signature" would be a good idea - year, model, engine, trans and any major mods. That way people will be able to provide more accurate answers.
If you REPLACE the distributor, its possible to mis-index it (by how much depends on the year of the engine) and throw the timing off, but that's an assembly error, not something that just "happens" on a running engine. But it is possible you have a problem with the Opti rotor coming loose, dirt on the optical sensor, or a corroded harness connector on the Opti.

It a 94 but it been changed to a 95 opti 2. The motor was just rebuilt less than 50 miles on it . Gm hot cam kit and ported stock heads, headers with 2 1/2 " exhaust. 355 cubie inch. The opti is new and so is the wiring connector .
