I am going to get MAC midlength headers. Also getting the 612 Spring kit as mentioned and hardened pushrods and either the 227/233 cam or the 230/236cam. Now I need to know what gaskets and all I would need or if there is a kit with all the necessary gaskets. Also what lifters do I need? Stock rockers fine or should I get 1.6 self aligning RR or 1.7 self aligning RR. Where can I get the RR from for a good price and do I need specific ones? Part numbers and a website would be nice. Do I need those guideplates a mentioned? If so, what one do I need?

you will hear different things about the lifters, I decided to get new ones. I figured if I do it now I won't have to worry about it later.

I'd get 1.6 non self-aligning. Yes, you'd have to adjust them every once in a while, but that's a small price to pay.

Also, you can throw in a set of stock lifters, but the Comp Rs are about $200, so there isn't a huge price difference between the two. Don't forget the price of tuning once you get everything back together. That will be another $300-500.

I wont be doing any of this really, i am 16. I dont know how to adjust the rockers. Can I leave the stockers in or should I get the 1.6RR? Whats the difference in the Comp R's and stocks? Part number and where from?

I would rather not have to adjust them and have them adjust themselves. Do I want the 1.52, 1.6, or 1.7 RR? Also what should my rev limiter be set to?
