Question Synthetics

Hey guys,

Has anyone put synthetic MOBIL 1 in their M6's? I just bought some, but haven't put it in because I started to hear that is a big no-no!! Any input would be great. Who's done it and what did you think, or what were your results?
Thanks again!

I know that once you go synthetic, you pretty much have to keep it all synthetic. Also never mix standard oil and synthetic. I don't really think it would hurt, I know that it doesn't provide much benifit for older engines.

Are you talking Mobil 1 ATF in your M6 tranny?

yes, I went and bought it but Haven't put it in yet. A couple of people have said that the synthetic is too slippery for the synchros and ends up screwing the tranny up

Shouldn't be a problem. I'm changing mine soon and will be putting in Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. Heck, if it doesn't feel right, change it back to regular ATF. It's an inexpensive change either way.

I tried both and think it's better with the non-synthetic.
