Sounds great. Are there any vibrations?

Yeah same here, wont go for me.

I'm also wondering if theres any vibrations or anything that would annoy me while driving. I'm very weird about exhaust. I, for some reason, think its one of the points about a car. It has to look great and sound great, and its very hard to find as exhaust that does both of those.

I hate not having true-duals. All of my friends do with there impalas, grand nationals, and a cougar .....I went to a custom exhaust place today and he said that he's put true duals on lt1 camaros before and it costs a fortune, looks ****ty, and rattles no matter what you do. So if this works out, I'll be ordering it very soon. Theres nothing I want more than a good looking/fitting true-dual system, especially for about $200-$300.

I am also very interested in the movie.

Also, I wanted to ask you, you said you got hangers that bolted onto stock locations from O'Reillys? Do you have part numbers or brand names or...?

Please let me know, thanks.

Thumbs up

Nice setup.

I'm plainning on doing the same type of true duals but with cats up front.

How much length do you think there is before the pipes start to bend toward the x-pipe?

Did you have to remove your tunnel brace?

How much clearance do you have around your brake lines?
Is there enough room to slide a piece of heat shield in between there?

I can email the video to anyone if your box supports up to 20mb. I have people that say they will host it but they never do and there is absolutely nobody that host video for free. The angelfire lasted about 30 mins if that.

The 4 pipes are all the same but the legs are different lengths.
In other words, the 45 degree bend is about 60% the length of the pipe.
The pipes on the rear just have the shorter legs in the x-pipe instead of the long legs like the front.

I remember checking the lines on the drivers side and they weren't close enough to the pipe to require any shielding imo. I only wish I would of went with a collector that slipped inside instead of outside the pipe so it would clear better.

I bought the hangers at Advance Auto Parts...not O'Relley's. My bad. They came in a generic white box. The only thing they did have on them was a part number as I recall. Don't have that though. Anyway, they were the ones that will rotate 90 degrees and have the all rubber loop hanger. You will know when you see it. It's the only one that was short enough to tuck the mufflers up were I wanted. I first went with metal hanger with the rubber intermediate piece. It was too long even on the first hole.

I really don't know if the cats will clear floor. The legs are long enough though if you wanted to cut them an put cats in.

Looks very nice. What brand mufflers and tips? Under the axle is the way to go imo if you are going out the back. Looks sweet from the rear. I guess there is no problems when the rearend drops when on a lift?

I have a video of my true duals with ported heads, xe224/230, hooker long tubes, and dr. gas 3 inch to 2.5 inch x-pipe system with 12 inch bullets and turndowns before the axle. Here is the link:

http://www.geocities.com/powerhungry...rs/videos.html

this was before the car was tuned, so it was hitting the rev limiter a little bit which made it sound choppy. It really is smooth and has an awesome sound. No vibrations either, and it bolted right up to my long tubes without any bending or cutting

how is it possible you lost no ground clearance when the piping goes under the rear axle. It looks to me like you lost a whole lotta ground clearance. One reason why full custom jobs can cost more is because of the complicated bends going over the rear axle.

ReadTransAM21......Man, I like the way that stall gets the rpm up there so fast. A TC is my next install. Going with a 2800 though.

I just ordered Pacesetter LTs and I'm putting cutouts after each header, then the summit x-pipe kit and bullets after the crossover. I'll have pics and vids but the bad thing is the car won't be back together again for about a month.

first, i meant i lost no ground clearance when switching from dumped at the axle to under axle.

second, anything that is in-line with the wheels will never hit a speed bump because the wheels will always lift it up at that pount..........the only thing the underaxle part could possibly hit is if there was a big rock in the middle of the road.
