I got an email response about this thread so I thought I'd come visit it. To anyone thinking about pulling the motor out the top you ought to be slapped. I removed mine several times out the bottom and it can be done in a couple of hours.

I had a friend who removed his out the top and I bet he spent more time getting his headers back on and plugs in then I had in putting the whole motor back in. Take a look at my cardomain page in my sig and you can see the whole motor goes back in complete ready to hook up. You don't have to worry about header leaks, bolts being tight enough or any of that BS. I did mine out the bottom without a lift.

What can I say I still have some love for you LT1 basta*ds.
