Well from what i can see they are all 1.5rr's.. atleast on the drivers side... when i had it off i wasnt even thinking to look for a number or anything, i just wanted to take a peak and see what it looked like. For the sake of HP, My buddy has a 1998 z28 LS1 completely stock. m6. We raced on I-75 " no one was on the road" from a 40mph roll. By the time i hit 130 he was a good 6 car lengths behind me. Also raced him ABOUT a 1/4 mile. cant be exact but we drove from the traffic light and watched the tripometer and when it got to 2 1/2 we where able to pick a telephone pole that was right there.......... So we went back to the light. It turned green we both took off i spun a little " he said he didnt spin at all" when we got to the Pole i was about 2 1/2 lengths ahead. He said my exhaust was so loud he couldnt hear himself think. Im going to do my best to get it to a dyno very soon. by what i was just saying, any clues as to what kind of power i might be making with whatever is in this thing?

Pro 5.0 or Hurst. I have the Pro 5.0 but its kinda notchy feeling even after a couple years though its a great shifter. Then a friend of mine has the billet hurst(not the SLP hurst) and it feels a bit smoother but I have only driven it a couple times. Both are around the same money.

The Lt4 conversions with heads and cam will put you past 330 rwhp, more like 360-370 horses. The Lt4 is rated up to 425 fwhp so assuming a 15% loss you'd have 363 rear horses a 13% loss would net you 370. I've read magazines showing a stock LT1 M6 dyno 275 rear horses, doesn't mean all will but I'd hope with headers and such you'd be past that. You could also go to the track and see what the car runs, it won't tell you exactly what horsepower you have but the MPH will tell you its estimated power level.

Here's pics of my lt4 intake that i painted, not that hard to do, didn't like the look of the red, too ricey. I also polished the ribs and the fuel rails, looked like someone dragged the intake upside down through the warehouse at summit racing before they boxed it up and shipped it.

I can get the part numbers for the intake and heads if you want, might be able to pic them off one of my pics, or can pull a valve cover, truck's sitting in the front yard trying to sell it..

PS pics are big, and will scorch your retinas, so have sunglasses ready.

well, looking through my pics i have here at work, there's a number on the heads, on the driver's side it's between #1 & 3 intake rockers, 12555690. Can't see the intake # though.

You said you removed the valve cover, so it would have been obvious as you were inspecting the valvetrain. So it sounds like they are probably LT1 heads.
Um, I didn't see any LT4 stamped on my heads.

the intake above isn't pink, it's red, damn Kodak Digicamera

That's funny, unless there is some sort of difference between the factory heads and over-the-counter heads.

Here are the part #'s

Here is where the LT4 stamp is, at least on mine:

I'd say if you put the hurtin' on an LS1 like that then unless the other guy can't drive, it is more than likely a LT4 conversion with hotcam and 1.6's

I paid $4,000 for it. Like i said before, i bought it from a woman whos son passed away. She just wanted it gone. It sat for about 4 months. When i got it it about 5 months ago it had 72k miles. T-tops, black leather, cd player, m6, pollished salad shooters. I know i got a good deal on it. Im going to pull the valve cover again today and see what i can find. And Zepher, my roller rockers look identical to yours. Ill keep you guys posted on what i find. thanks again
