Will the LS1's and LT1's work together?

i have a maf on my 95 z right now...it came off my buddies 02' ss, and everything appears to be working allright.

he bought a granatelli (spelling) and let me borrow his factory one, while im removing the screen on my stock maf and just cleaning it up a little bit.

the general consensus (from what ive seen on here), is that you wont see any gains by porting or buying a ported maf. most just descreen it, as did i hth

It all depends. Lets just use my car for example. I have a Stock intake and Stock MAF. In my last two WOT runs I could clearly see my Intake manifold vacum increasing just after 2500 RPMs.. meaning she was running out of breath or in other words.. The pistons were requesting more air than it was available therefore creating a vacum signal inside the Intake Manifold. Something before the Manifold is creating an air restriction obviously right?

I know its the Stock Air Filter and Air intake piping my car came with.. Anyone with a Cold Air Kit will tell you how much HP they have gained when they replaced the OEM Air system with their Cold Air.

If your car is heavily chocked by the OEM parts you will see great gains with simple boltons and the biggest criminal is the OEM air induction system before the MAF sensor, After that it gets expensive. You know Heads/cam/intake/TB/MAF. will defenetely flow more air. The biggest MAF alone will not make the whole system flow more air. May improve it but I dont think it will be that much.... See what I am gettin to?

I am with SlashHz28. the MAF by itself will give you little gains if any but if you HAVE TO replace your MAF yeah get a bigger one now. it will give you plenty of room to upgrade heads and cam and everything else. Make sure is correctly calibrated though.
