HEATH-hook it up to a scanner and see if you have knock. if you dont then its a waste of time, if you do then it just might be worth it........FWIW i have one and have no knock (dont think i had some with an LT1 KM) but still have the problem......

You need to tape a fuel pressure guage ($25) to the windshield and see if it drops in psi where it misfires.
Also how old are your valve springs?
They might be floating at the top end badly and you would be getting less compression and the fuel would detonate in the exhaust like a misfire.

hey gripenfelter, i thought you might of been lost in (my car runs fine land?) j/k
I hear ya on the springs the car is a 94 with now 65000 miles on it i bought it in january with 53000 on it from a 57 year old woman, no ****tin ya !!!
is that too old on the springs? how do i change them do they just r&r or is it complicated? should i go OE or aftermarket ??
on the fuel gauges ive did that 3 times before and not with the 35$ gauge! i used my 140$ gauge>
I know for a fact its not fuel related.

Hey Heath,
On your last two items, valves springs and LT-4 KM, I have some data, also on the manifold issue. Mine has done this before and after an aweful manifold leak, like loads of oil pouring down the firewall, and I assume a relatively big vacuum leak too. No difference to the infamous miss. My LT-1 has 65,000 miles on it and I put brand new LT-4 springs in back in Feb. when I did my 1.6RR. Again same miss after as before. Put in the LT-4 KM about a month ago, no help, not that I really expected it. Also, I did have a rather bad fuel supply problem at WOT over 3000 RPM. Pressure would drop from about 39 psi to below 25 psi!! Not good. Turned out to be a low voltage problem to the fuel pump. I was totally stoked -- for sure this was the obvious cause of my miss. No such luck. Same miss after fuel supply fix and after. I would still check it however, need to have that crossed off your list of possibles. I, however, do not really believe that fuel is our collective common cause. Data from changing my plugs and my gut tell me it really should be an electrical/ignition problem.
Hang in there man!!! One of us is going to crack this one, and then we will all have it fixed for good!!!! Right??? I little optimism can't hurt.

bill. thanks for the info. that clears up my mind on those topics. I just made up my mind I am not going to replace any more parts on this POS unless confirmed 4 times that it is bad
im still going to save my money so i can throw it away. with this shop that specializes in this B/S. any way im not giving up with out a fight. hell im a veteran to this problem. im kinda getting used to driving this bad *** looking car around 20 mph or so, its fun driving slow!!
NOT!
and yes ONE DAY WE WILL PREVAIL!

yeah grip. my o2s are stock but ive already had new ones in it and it didnt help? and they also swapped new maf and that was no help either. see my just back from the dealer post on page 5 it shows a list of all the things the dealer did and failed at??
only good thing about the dealer they can grab parts off the shelf and try them. and then put them right back in the box!

See if you can have a leakdown test done to check valve seats. It could even be a crack in the head, probably in between valves.
Whatever it is, it seems to worsen as cylinder pressure and heat increases.
Also do a compression check and compare each cylinder to another. Sounds like your problem is going to be in the combustion chamber somewhere.
