Re: Oxygen sensors?

When did you get the pcmforless tune? Since Bryan Herter gave the tuning up to someone else, there has been negative feedback.

Re: Oxygen sensors?

Ill check that today with the scanner, i got the tune about 9 months ago. He sent me a one of his cpus, and i tried to send him mine, but he said he could not give me a core charge because mine had a hypertech tune on it and i no longer owned the hypertech tuner.

Re: Oxygen sensors?

DTC sets when the TPS voltage drops below 0.23 volts. What is your usual closed throttle TPS voltage? Could indicate a loose connector or short to ground.

yes but he had bad feedback from day 1. Anything from pcm4less is suspect IMHO...which may be why your post is in bold

Re: Oxygen sensors?

Well fuel pressure regulator is done, tps new, map new, runs a bit better but still does not have full power at all. Next ill replace the pump and sending unit, which i was going to do anyways, and im going to install the other pcm and check to see if thats it. Still working on it, also no leaking injectors.....one thing at a time, when im done shes gonna run like new lol.

Re: Oxygen sensors?

Pump in, hg test shows 20 Hg on my tester, new icm, new motor mounts, and tranny mount, car turns and handles ALOT better now. Still running off and backfiring and smell of fuel, I will do the optispark next, the last time i pulled the opti off it had oil leaking out of the seal and onto it from where the shaft goes in, i assume this may have hurt this one, I need to just take the entire timing cover off and replace as many seals as i can at this point. The opti i got is a new JEGS unit, i have read good reviews and at 240 with tax here in TN can't be to bad, 1 year warrenty. Part gets here on the 11th, wish me luck.

Re: Oxygen sensors?

Check for exhaust leaks before the O2 sensors. Ensure the headers are tight and look for any possible cracks in the headers. Also note if the cat(s) were removed, you need to detune or put simulators on the rear O2s.

Re: Oxygen sensors?

His 94 (OBD-1) doesn’t have after-cat O2 sensors.

I mentioned leaks before the O2 sensors in post #2, but I don’t know if he followed up. He did mention a leak at the end of the pipe, but appeared to understand that will not cause issues with the O2 sensors.

Re: Oxygen sensors?

That's what I get for trying to read the thread on my phone. So I know, are you saying that all ODB1 cars only have pre-cat O2 sensors? 96-97 are the only ODB2 years for the LT1 fbody, right?

Re: Oxygen sensors?

Correct. In 96, as part of OBD-2 they added the after cat O2 sensors to monitor the condition of the cats.

Re: Oxygen sensors?

Ive been super busy working, and working on this car. It has never had any cats as far as i have had it. The pcm is not the problem either, i will attempt a smoke test next. n

Re: Oxygen sensors?

Does anyone know about this timing chain?

1994 CHEVROLET CAMARO Cloyes Heavy-Duty Timing Sets C-3228 This goes on soon with all new timing cover gaskets, and a new jegs optispark.....hopefully this will all do the trick so i can get her to the dyno for a base run.
