Need Input On Plugs And Wires

Hello everyone,

I want to change my plugs and wires and can’t decide on what brands to buy.
I’ve been browsing this forum, but can’t seem to find the answers I’m looking for.
It looks like everyone has their own preference on this subject.

About the ride:
She is mostly stock, but am planning on some future mods (Headers, Cam, Bigger TB, and so on)

Current setup:
Hypertech Airfoil, 160° Stat and Programming / K&N Air Filter with funnel on air box removed / Edelbrock trailing arms and that’s about it

As far as plugs, I was thinking maybe NGK-TR55

Now the wires, there are 3 kinds I’m considering:
1.) MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor wires, but I’ve read they won’t fit in the stock wire separators.
2.) Taylor 8mm Spiro-Pro Wires
3.) Moroso Blue Max™ 8mm, 800 ohm Spiral Core Wires

I would be grateful for any input you all might have.

Glad to hear that combination worked for you.

Did you get (just for you over the valve covers wire separators) or did you use the stock ones?
Also, do you know where I can buy the plugs and wires?
I’ve looked at summit and jegs and can’t for the life of me figure anything out there.

Thanks for the help.

I've had the MSD's and the Taylors on my car, if you plan on sticking with the same routing location and stock looms, it might be easier to use the Taylors. For what it's worth I'm putting in the taylors with the made for you OVC kit. I burned a few wires on the headers with the stock setup and am hoping this solves the problem.

Just a thought, if you plan on doing headers soon, why not change the wires then?

Accel 9000 wires have worked great for me. Summit has them.
Aftermarket wires generally won't fit in the stock looms. You will want to get a set of looms that fit.

Thanks you guys for all your help and suggestions. Gave me a lot of ideas.

Just checked out that site ls1speed.com and what a great site thanks.

I will definitely become a regular here

Again thanks a bunch.

GM may have discontinued the F-Body, but it’s by no means over…

I've had good luck with the Accel 9000's and Bosch platinums (regular, not + anything). The Moroso's look like a very good wire too though. I'm not a fan of either Taylor or MSD, so right off the bat I'm a little biased towards the Moroso's on your list. Take that fwiw...
