Nitto 555R drag radials on stock rims will do just fine. With my 6 speed I don't spin badly hitting second with them (on good pavement). Wet traction isn't to bad with them either.

I too, am 18 years old, and have had my Z for about a year now. I paid a little over 7k for mine with all the mods in my sig except the hypertech. I get about 16.5 MPG but thats just a fact of life for these cars.

I have to ask a question though.. Generally speaking... when does an LT1 become "old" and/or "tired"? Mine has 93k on it I'm going to rebuild it at 100k unless thats too soon? The car has ben babied its whole life, and even more so when i got her. It's very strong, ever since i bought it with 85k. I can't believe you found a '93 with only 50k... thats unreal heh.

id say 200,000 these cars r getting tired.. if it still runs strong, wait a while and save up more money to build a motor a LS1 cant touch

like i said 124k still going stong....................................... no point of rebuilding if the car is still good and your budget is bad!

I think I may be younger than most of you... I bought the car in my sig about a week ago, with the mods listed. I have hit a wall though(not literally), that being, I have run out of things to do to it without spending money. I picked this one up in Ohio with 78000 miles and a brand new clutch thats always a good thing. This thing looked like it was egged and then sat out in a parking lot with the sun beating on it for a week. But Mcguire's #9 and #7 really brought the shine back in it. Enjoy the car! I will never sell mine!
