245 is really on the low side from what I have seen. Saw a ragged out ( and I mean hunk of **** ragged out) 95 auto with 135K miles bone stock put down 257 RWHP a couple of years ago. Saw plenty of M6s in the 260 range. Silver 95 M6 TA stock down to the filter put down 273 RWHP. 72K miles Clean ride! My friend Adams 97 Z28 M6 put down 264 RWHP, 123K with a moroso CAI on a dyno at NGSS. FWIW, that dyno typically showed 10-14 LESS RWHP than other dynos on identical cars in identical weather.

All depends on how well the car was taken car of man. Typical is relative to that

Maybe I've always seen very low ones, but I've seen many many dyno and the autos are always around 225-240 and the manuals are always between 245 and 255. I just dynoed my stock 1994 Z28 A4 and it put down 230. 63K fully tuned up. My last LT1 (1997 TA A4) made 233 with 40K miles and everything tuned up. Thsoe two were right in line with all the other autos I've seen. I guess every dyno around here reads low. Also, were the numbers all corrected for SAE or the actual numbers? That can make a huge difference.

Like I said, I'm not doubting his number at all, but I don't think it's the norm. I guess some track numbers would tell the real story. 270 rwhp should easily trap 102 mph. From what I've seen the average LT1 traps 97-99 mph indicating 220-250 rwhp. There are some that trap 100 plus, but not most (unless your running them at Atco).

Either way, I guess it's not worth arguing about since we don't race dyno charts.

After a little bit of online research the average seems to be around 260ish for an M6 and in the 230's for an A4. Sucks to be us, lol.
