Post Just bought 96 Z28...Dyno numbers

I just bought a 96 Z28

6 speed, hardtop, 111K miles

He had it dynoed with the just SLP exhaust and it put down

Max Power = 272.51
Max Torque = 310.41

Is that good for a stock car?

That's actually extremely high for only having a cat-back.

Enjoy the car!

Looks pretty good to me. I'm still waiting to get my mods done. Then it's dyno time.

Most M6 LT1's make 245-255ish stock from what I've seen. So he gained 17 rwhp from a cat-back? Factory freak possible, but not the norm.

300+ is definitely possible with a 6-speed car. I think it's possible with an auto, but it's more rare.
