I can't remember, but don't OBDII cars have crank sensors? I know the LT4 vettes had them.

I was about "this" close to just putting a carb and dist. in mine so I could tune the thing. I am glad I fought with it a lil longer and the new tune with new 7 MM Oreilleys plug wires made ALL the difference in the world.

before that, get a base tune from PCMforless. If the L and R O2's are still way different and you are having a scan that looks anything like what you have now, you have some problems with opti, opti harness, wires, coil, plugs, exhaust leaks, bad O2, vacuum leak, leak between MAF and TB, etc, etc, etc.

I would hold off on the carb for a while. You have just not found the problem. A tune would possibly fix everything or at least eliminate a BUNCH of problems and possibilities.

When did he say that the O2's are way different? If it's back firing, I would think that you either have a bad vacuum leak or your valves aren't adjusted correctly. If your O2's are way different than each other, then I'd suggest you have one of the above problems. Also, like Lloyd said, don't carb it. Get it running right and leave it fuel injected.

eh, my bad on the L and R O2 statement. I re read these posts and not sure what the scans show or if this one has been scanned. I was confusing this thread with a similar one with a guy having tuning problems (Playa7970 or somthinmg like that).

It's cool Lloyd. I completely understand. Sometimes these threads all run together.

If the car was OBDI, I'd take a look at the tune. I can't help when I can't see a log or the program. Good luck.

It's not the opti then.... get a datamaster log of the thing and someone can help you out then.

yesterday i raced my brothers Z06 with Cam ,longtubes,he only won by 1 car length, but my SES started flashing and when i gear to 4th (powershifting)i felt like the car retard timing,or something,im suspecting that my Opti is gone again,my Opti is a summit brand,i think it does not hang 6500 RPMS frequently, lol
