Getting Code 48: "MAF System Fail" - What besides the obvious?
Getting Code 48: "MAF System Fail" - What besides the obvious?
I got my AKM cable in and Datamaster today and was playing around with it doing a log. It shows a code 48 - MAF System Fail. Besides and obvious faulty MAF, what else could cause this? All fuses are good I already checked them. It's plugged in good. I asked on a local town forum if anyone had a MAF I could swap in to see if that was the issue.
Would this be a reason why it ran great then started running like ***?
What can I check or test?

Easy enough to check. Terminal C (pink wire) to terminal B (black/white wire) will measure 12 volts DC with KOEO. The yellow wire when measured to the black/white wire will measure between 4 and 6 volts DC.
If they all check out, put the meter on the wires so you can "wiggle" the wires while you check the readings.

OK....
I have 13.xxV across the black/white and pink.
I have 6.3-7V between the yellow and black/white wire. Is that still OK? Or, do I have a problem somewhere else?

No...because when I checked the voltage, I stuck my multimeter into the end of the connector...
Car won't start now either. Started once, stumbled, hitting the gas pedal didn't change anything, it was all it had to stay stumbling, no rev or nothing.

Had that problem once, turned out I "thought" I had a good connection but it wasn't plugged in COMPLETELY. I also checked it a few times. Best advice I can give is check all the lines even leading up to ecu.
