Oh believe me, the Hooker gives you sound in the cabin too, but it's not that annoying resonance like other systems have. It all comes from the rear, from outside.

When you drive a lot of miles everyday, sound in the cabin gets annoying fast. When I'm cruising at 60-70 mph, I don't have ANY cabin drone. It's nice and quiet. As soon as you step on it though, that nice clean rumble comes to life.

I have a flowmaster catback on my car right now I was thinking I might go with the magnaflow because of the stainless steel. Is there some reason that Hooker doesn't make their catback out of stainless steel? I would think that if it had the same design only made of S.S. , it would have that same great sound. The hooker is the one I want but I dont want it to rust out on me in a few years.

Or you can spend $49 and get true duals like me

I love my exhaust, and I had a Borla to begin with!

I also converted my 80 series flowmaster to the Hooker about 9 mths ago and have been loving it and so glad I changed ever since. Without a cat its pretty loud in the car too, but Im not driving a Lexus, so I kinda like it and I only drive about 50-60 miles a week. for the Hooker!!

yea a pipe bender would be nice. How is your clearance and how did you route them? No crossover? Any pics?

Now that we are touching on the aspect of true duals, I still want some input from you catback guys....so dont delete this thread quite yet

I want the true duals, I am doing a LT setup with x pipe, no emissions and no cats....3" through the x into some sort of mufflers or bullets....

NOW...bullets I am almost positive are going to be too loud, or just too obnoxious no matter what driving condition is, highway or street.

Does Hooker for example make a muffler that could relatively be easy to use with true duals? I love the hooker catback from the clips I have heard...

No one can argue the bullets probably flow the most, they are basically straight pipes, what about Dynomaxs Ultra Flo? They seem to have the bullet design just in the shape of a traditional muffler, they are cheap, and use more fiberglass than the bullet...

I want the old muscle car sound, I actually want a loud idle, just not a headache when at partial throttle/cruising on the highway, with all that drone that people talk about.
of course at WOT it can be as loud as it wants to be, i dont care then

ANY IDEAS???

thanks guys (oh and also this is coming from a guy who is also ditching single flowmaster..lol)

I bought ZPaul2Fresh8's borla, his duals sound awesome!

I am a big fan of a borla on an LT1 and have dreamed about having one on my formy. I have the Flow at the moment, not too bad, really woke up the minute the headers and ORP went in, but became way to raspy! With the cam in it, I am not the hugest fan of it anymore, time for a different setup

I cannot wait to get the borla on! Thanks Paul!

My friend has Jet Hots, ORY, and LM exhaust on his car, and at first his car was raspy and hell!! But, I heard it the other day, and the raspiness was gone!! Is this on all LM exhausts? Or did he just get lucky? He's had them for probably 3 months or so now.

Anyone have clips with LT's, and like a Magnaflow, Hooker, 20TL, or Random Tech Catbacks? I never heard them with LT's before... can't find sound clips either. Thanks fellas!!
