I switched from stock manifold and LM to MAC midlengths, !cats, and Hooker catback about 6 months ago....I LOVE the sound. It is so nice while crusing around 60 or 70 and when you stomp on it, everyone will know. HOOKER = GOOD

Random Tech is best flowing cat back (no back pressure at all). I found a web page with dyno runs on Flomaster, borla, SLP, MAngaflow and hooker. Random tech wins by 3 hp over SLP....And yes it is little bit raspy and sometimes backfires (because of very low back pressure)...

I dont really care about outside noice, and even interior noice if the sound is okay..I just didnt like that interior resonance that flowmaster produced....

Im considering the same swap to hooker from flowmaster, It seems flowmaster has a restrictive raspy sound with my Mid length headers +ORP and flowmaster catback. I want something still loud but very clean sounding do you think im looking for a hooker catback?

Right click and save the video in my sig. You'll need Divx to view it.

Stock 94 LT1 with manifolds and no cat. I think it sounds awesome, there's gonna be a sound clip with long tubes within the next week or so.

I ditched my slowmaster muffler a while back and went with a dynomax ultra flow single out. Wow, what a difference. Much quieter at cruising speeds, no drone at 2K, but you can still hear it when you open it up. The flow is incredible too. Can you say straight pipe?

it does get louder over time when it breaks in.. just deeper, you won't get the interior sound tho!
about the tips rusting... before you put them on get some hi-temp black paint and paint them and you are good to go!

90% or more do race your cars in here right? So, my question is... why wouldnt you want to interior to be loud as well as the exterior? I love listening to the rumble from the inside of the car . Why else have it so loud if you dont like it?

Believe me, when I get on my car with my hooker catback I can definatly hear it inside. I just like how it is quiet during cruising.
