all factory sbc rods are forged. The pink rods were just shotpeened as your source says and double checked.

That's the first time I've EVER heard someone mention forged rods in a stock LT1. Can anyone verify this?

Ok, I think he and I were thinking two different things. I'm thinking along the lines of aftemarket 4340 forged.
