DLC or Data Link Connector?????????
DLC or Data Link Connector?????????
Is this the connector/plug that you get the SES codes out of under the dash? I went to 2 different autozones to get my SES light scanned, and the scanner wouldn't even turn on at either place? I checked all my fuses, and found 1 blown fuse. The cigarette lighter/Accessory wire/DLC fuse was blown. I'm hoping thats why the scanner wouldn't work. Please let me know so I can go out again tomorrow, and this time know for sure that it should work. Thanks.

DLC should be the same as the "ALDL", which is the connection under the dash for the PCM/diagnostic tool. What year is your car? If its a 1995, its a common problem, since the 1995 is the only year with an OBD-I PCM, and an OBD-II shaped ALDL connector. Most shops don't know this, and try and read it with an OBD-II scanner, and it won't connect. And it could be the fuse as well.
Hint: To help people help you, include basic info about your car - year, model, tranny, any major mods - in a "signature". Not all LT1's are the same, particularly when it comes to the computer.
